Located in the city of Edmundston, the Madawaska Museum is also home to Galerie Colline, a centre for contemporary art. The lobby, with its imposing ceiling of large, wooden beams, provides a pleasant place for casual discussions with museum personnel. Iconic objects, artifacts and antiques are featured, including an impressive permanent- antique collection, which houses hundreds of fascinating collectables.In addition to the permanent exhibits, the gallery showcases a variety of special-themed exhibitions from local and regional artists. The exhibitions change regularly. Throughout the year, the museum offers many different lectures, courses, workshops and special events that will inform, entertain and stimulate your imagination and interest in history. The museum is within easy walking distance from local shops and restaurants.
