As a resident of New Brunswick’s capital city, Fredericton, I consider myself fortunate to live in a place with a river running through it plus access to amazing trails and a wonderful provincial park. As an individual, I highly treasure these things. As a physician, I know that nature is very important for our health. In these times of soaring rates of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and mental illness, nature can be a powerful antidote.
