Landry’s Birdseye Bowls

Wood turning, bowls and hollow forms. Specialty: bird's-eye maple.Free visit to gallery and shop where the artist will answer questions on his work. Everyone is welcome. Juried member of the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Craft Council.

Lavoie Maple Sugar House

Established five generations ago, this 50-acre family-operated maple grove is located 400 metres above sea level in the Appalachian Mountains in north-western New Brunswick. This location is ideal for the growth of sugar maples and for the harvesting of a sap of superior quality. Its long boiling time at low heat over a wood fire provides unique and refined flavours that are sought after by connoisseurs.

Le Gîte de la Sagouine

Gîte de la Sagouine was built in 1880, and the rich heritage of the house has a Victorian feel to it. Its 4 bedrooms and 2 suites are furnished with beautiful antiques. Each room and suite has a private bath. Stepping inside the inn, you enter a quiet refuge that fills your heart with tranquility after a day exploring the Acadian seaside community of Bouctouche, its lively attractions, sand dunes, gentle ocean breezes, and its friendly people who make you feel like family.

Le Prospecteur hiking trails – Edmundston

A wonderful network of hiking trails to explore on foot throughout the year or by snowshoe in the winter. More than 10 km (6.2 mi.) of trails will take you through breathtaking scenery in the steps of Madawaska County's best known gold-digger, Mr. Robert (Bob) Leboeuf! For many years, this colourful Edmundston personality searched for gold on the mountain's western slope, in what is now known as "Bob Leboeuf's Mine." This funny and determined historical character is almost a legend in these parts. Follow his steps… who knows what you'll find!

Ledges… Place des Pionniers

Travel through time and get to know the history of the people who built this region at the crossroads of New Brunswick, Maine and Quebec. The Place des Pionniers (Pioneers Place) is a small-scale reproduction of the village of Saint-François, formerly known as Ledges. Visitors love to stroll amongst the miniature reproduction buildings, including the family home, the church, the farm, the post office, the school and the general store, just to name a few! From there, set out on a journey to learn about the cultural and social heritage of the region. This drive will take you to the Jos. B.

Letete - Deer Island Ferry

Deer Island is surrounded by the high tides of the Bay of Fundy, and is located at the mouth of Passamaquoddy Bay near the border of the Province of New Brunswick and the State of Maine. Deer Island has three communities – Fairhaven, Leonardville and Lords Cove. Throughout the year Deer Islanders can be found busy at fishing and aquaculture, although tourism is growing in importance. Deer Island sits about 4 km (3 mi.) from Letete, New Brunswick. Coastal Transport Limited is pleased to offer daily trips to Deer Island. We provide a brief, no charge ferry ride from Letete.

Best view point in Fredericton! The Lighthouse is located downtown overlooking the Saint John River. Be sure to stop by for one of our NB craft beers while enjoying your favourite food, but don't leave without treating yourself to one of our many ice cream flavours.

Lillas Fawcett Park and Silver Lake

Lillas Fawcett Park and Silver Lake provide the ideal spot for freshwater swimming, boating and fishing. During the summer months, the accessible swimming area is clearly marked and a lifeguard is on duty during the afternoons. Lillas Fawcett Park features recently built changing stations, a natural playground, and kayak and paddleboard rentals. Boaters, canoers, kayakers have access to the large lake via a public ramp and accessible dock. Try trout fishing at Silver Lake as well.

Little Lepreau River No. 1.5 Covered Bridge (Mill Pond)

Built in 1910, this covered bridge is 32 m (105 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 1, Route 790 South 7 km (4.3 mi.), onto Little Lepreau Road, near Lepreau. (Not in service)

Long Beach - Fundy Trail Provincial Park

This 2.5 km sandy shoreline beach is rimmed with an interesting array of cobbled rocks. At low tide, Long Beach extends for 500 metres into the bay so you can truly walk on the ocean floor. Picnic shelters and washrooms, along with interpretation panels are found here, so pack a picnic and plan to spend the day. The park also has 3 discovery beaches (Melvin, Pangburn and Big Salmon River) that are ideal to explore.

Long Eddy Point Lighthouse ("The Whistle")

This is one of the best places on Grand Manan to view whales, porpoises and seabirds as they feed in the rip tides below the cliffs. Bald eagles are also common in the area. Periwinkles and dulse are picked along the shores below the lighthouse, and visitors can watch lobster, scallop and herring fishing depending on the season.This lighthouse, known locally as "The Whistle," was originally established in 1873. The current square concrete building and tower was constructed in 1971.

Loon Bay Lodge

This classic, authentic heritage Adirondack-style lodge set in 200 acres on the shoreline of the St. Croix River and the international border between New Brunswick and Maine is the perfect location for a group or family vacation. Fishing, bird hunting, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, bird and wildlife watching as well as moose and owl calling are available at Loon Bay Lodge, which provides easy access to the safe and clean environment of the St. Croix River.

Mac's Beach

At the eastern end of this picturesque village is the beautiful Mac’s Beach, an unsupervised beach with food services available. At low tide you can explore the famous St. Martins sea caves, visual evidence of the tremendous power of the Fundy tides. Carved into the rugged, red sand cliffs, you’ll have about two hours to wander through them on either side of low tide.

MacDonald Farm

PROVINCIAL HERITAGE PLACE The MacDonald Farm in Lower Newcastle overlooks the Miramichi River and is situated in a beautiful pastoral setting. To discover its secrets and appreciate the charming scenery, visitors can follow a winding trail that leads to the historic homestead. Located on Route 11, 13 km (8 mi.) north of the city Miramichi, the site tells the story of early Scottish settler Alexander MacDonald, his family and the way of life in 1820.

Mactaquac Golf Course

The 18-hole championship golf course, carved out of mature forest, offers a unique series of challenges for golfers of all skill levels. The 7,030-yard layout features meticulously groomed fairways that lead the golfer into generous-sized greens, most of which are well guarded by large bunkers. Golfers are required to share this scenic course with a wide range of wildlife, including white tailed deer, ducks and geese that add to the course's natural charm.

Mactaquac Provincial Park

The Four-Season Playground Open for all four seasons, Mactaquac Provincial Park offers many outdoor activities to explore. Situated amongst an expansive woodland, this 1,300-acre riverside playground along the scenic Saint John River offers many outdoor recreational activities, along with an extensive network of hiking trails to explore and a tranquil beaver pond nature reserve. From golfing on the 18-hole championship golf course to camping, freshwater beaches and treetop aerial adventures, there is always an adventure to be had at the park.
