Caused by the Bay of Fundy tides, the Tidal Bore occurs twice daily. Watch the water in the Petitcodiac River roll back upstream in one wave that can go up to 60 cm in height! Estimated Tidal Bore times online and at the Visitor Information Centre beside Bore Park, downtown Moncton. Please note: Many factors may affect the time of the Bore by 15 to 20 minutes before or after the scheduled arrival time. Arrive early!

New Brunswick Internment Camp Heritage Museum

The project was born when Ed Caissie, a Minto teacher, was developing alternate programs for at-risk students. There is an historic walking trail at the original site in Ripples, 32 km (20 mi.) from Fredericton on Route 10.

Old Sow Whirlpool

Enjoy the toll-free ferry ride over to Deer Island and experience a little taste of the Bay of Fundy on your way when you view the Old Sow! Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 56, onto Route 172 to Letete. Take the toll-free ferry to Deer Island onto Route 772.

Edmundston Visitor Information Centre

Located in an old CP railway station built in 1930, the building was completely renovated in 2005. The centre is located next to a cycling trail connecting the city of Edmundston, New Brunswick, to Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec and near the popular pedestrian bridge that crosses the Madawaska River, leading to the downtown area. The centre also offers a souvenir shop, picnic tables, a playground and a dog park nearby.
