Directly across the street from Government House is Wilmot Park. Beautifully landscaped, the park boasts immaculate lawns, walking trails, lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, lawn bowling, a bandstand, a children’s playground, a splash park, and is a perfect spot for a picnic. The title deed of this 4.9-ha (12-acre) park was originall given to City Council in 1895, by an early Loyalist settler, Edward Wilmot.

Dutch Point Park Trail

Open year-round, 2000 metres of hiking, walking and biking trails through a 30 acre park and along Ossekeag Creek, a diverse wetland area part of Trans Canada Trail (The Great Trail). The park also includes 2 ball fields, a family playground and Erb's Hill, a popular sliding spot in winter. Includes five routes; Erb's Hill (100m), Wetmore's Walk (300m), Coleman's Trail (600m), Pendergrass Trail (250m), Haden Hill's Loop (600m).

Bayswater Lighthouse

This lighthouse, with its wooden salt-shaker tower, was established in 1914. The Bayswater Lighthouse is just one stop you'll want to make on the River Valley Scenic Drive which also includes covered bridges, cable ferries and other river lighthouses.
