Mount Carleton Provincial Park

The Canadian Appalachian Experience

With the highest mountain peak in the Maritimes, Mount Carleton Provincial Park has more than 42,000 acres of Appalachian wilderness waiting to be explored. The mountain is home to more wild animal species than any other part of the province and is a botanist’s dream for rare plants. As a designated dark sky preserve, Mount Carleton is the perfect place to enjoy those crystal-clear starry nights.

You can enjoy the groomed trails and roads of Mount Carleton Provincial Park all year round. Whether you’re a cross-country skier, snowshoer, ice-fisher, or snowmobiler, the winter months in this park feature something for everyone. Skis and snowshoes are available and Winter camping allows you to keep the adventure going into the colder months.
