The Société historique Nicolas-Denys Inc. (SHND) was founded in 1969. This historical society publishes articles on the history of northeastern New Brunswick in the Revue d’histoire, keeps documents of historical interest in its archives and organizes meetings for those interested in history and genealogy.The Mgr-Donat-Robichaud Archives and Research Centre provides free public access to its extensive collection of historical and genealogical documents.
