Our rich history, beautiful countryside and unspoiled beaches make St. George a prime destination for visitors to the Bay of Fundy! Be sure to stop at the Visitor Information Centre upon arrival, where friendly staff will help you make the most of your stay.
Whale-watching, scuba diving, hiking, horseback riding and bicycle tours are just a few of the adventures that await you. Go fishing in the spring, experience land and aquatic adventures in the summer, hike the brightly coloured forests in the fall, and cross-country ski and snowmobile in the winter. Explore the covered bridges of the area and marvel at the beautiful St. George Gorge from above and below the falls.
Take the Historic Places Walking Tour to discover our region's history and folklore dating back to the early Loyalist settlers. Be sure to ask about the illusive Lake Utopia Monster; and maybe take a visit to the lake and see if you can spot it!
St. George is the centre of the largest aquaculture industry in North America and fishermen are out in their boats long before sunrise. Lobster, scallops, clams, herring, mackerel and Atlantic salmon are all harvested from the cold waters of the bay. Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront and scan the horizon for osprey or eagles with the soothing sound of waves in the background. St. George is where the river meets the sea, old meets new, and visitors always meet a friendly welcome!
