Woolastook Park & Campground

Quiet, clean and friendly family campground on the banks of the picturesque Saint John River, 25 km (15 mi.) west of Fredericton. The park's features include walking and hiking trails, a library, 2 volleyball courts, 2 horseshoe pits, a fishing pond and a laundry room. We even have 1 of the world's longest picnic tables! Guests of the park will have the opportunity to enjoy many free services and activities, including hay rides, bikes, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, golf and board games. Firewood and propane is also provided.

Fire Fly Forest is the perfect spot to stay and play for your family vacation. From nearby or from far away, you can always find a friendly face and a number of fun activities to do. Hit balls at our driving range, play Atlantic Canada's largest miniature golf course, splash in our pool or participate in some of the activities in our recreation building. We also have a large picnic/barbeque area for larger groups. In addition, the Town of Hampton offers a friendly atmosphere, good restaurants, and family activities.

Oak Point Kiwanis Campground and Park Beach

Freshwater, unsupervised, fine-sand-and-rocky swimming beach with washrooms, showers and picnic shelter. Admire the tallest lighthouse on the St. John River system and see oak trees over 100 years old. A multitude of birds can be viewed in the marsh in their natural habitat. Pets on a leash welcome; unsupervised pool, wheelchair-accessible toilets, indoor activity centre, waterfront property, trading post, washers, dryers, showers, flush toilets, plus water park (splash pad).

Just a two-minute walk from the campground, Escuminac Beach is a beauty! Saunter along boardwalks, pause under the gazebo for a picnic, watch well over 50 species of seabird, or simply admire the view and breathtaking sunsets over Miramichi Bay. A walking trail starts at the campground and leads to the first lighthouse built on the province's East Coast. Be sure to check out Point Escuminac, where tree fragments from a forest dating back 4,300 years can be seen at the base of the peat section.
