Riverside Park

Surrounded by the picturesque scenery of Riverside Park—complete with a large gazebo, stone walkways, lamp-post lighting, granite benches, trees, flower beds, and a scenic view of the Saint John River—relaxation comes naturally. A nature trail provides access to the Sentier NB Trail and the lower Shiktehawk Stream. Pack a picnic and stay for the day! The park hosts Outdoor Markets from July to September and the Tuesday summer music series. Come winter, our Potato Barrel Tree shines brightly!

Oak Bay Beach & Park

Oak Bay Park is a sheltered tidal inlet off the mouth of the St. Croix River. Experience the views of the beautiful Bay of Fundy or spend an afternoon on the unsupervised sandy saltwater beach with change houses, washrooms, parking, food service, picnic areas and campground. Located less than 10 km (6 mi.) from St. Stephen and 30 km (19 mi.) from St. Andrews by-the-Sea.

Lillas Fawcett Park and Silver Lake

Lillas Fawcett Park and Silver Lake provide the ideal spot for freshwater swimming, boating and fishing. During the summer months, the accessible swimming area is clearly marked and a lifeguard is on duty during the afternoons. Lillas Fawcett Park features recently built changing stations, a natural playground, and kayak and paddleboard rentals. Boaters, canoers, kayakers have access to the large lake via a public ramp and accessible dock. Try trout fishing at Silver Lake as well.

Mapleton Park

This 121-ha (300-acre) park offers nature lovers interpretive panels throughout the park, ample bird watching, and features both wide, accessible trails and more rustic nature trails for walking, running and biking.Wintertime attracts snowshoers and ice-skaters to the new outdoor rink behind the Rotary Pavilion which is a popular log structure for gatherings and meetings.

Rockwood Park Campground

Conveniently located off Route 1, only 2km from Uptown Saint John and close to a grocery store, we offer 189 sites to cater to your needs, including fully/partially serviced, tent, rustic cabins, and seasonal sites. French Fort Cove Nature Park

Connect with nature by experiencing outdoor recreational activities at the beautiful historical French Fort Cove multi-season nature park. Enjoy a peaceful walk on the hiking trails, cycle the extensive mountain bike trail system or experience the thrill of soaring from one end of the park to the other on the Maritimes’ Longest Zipline. Canoe, kayak or paddle boat rentals in the summer. Walking, snowshoeing and skating trail in the winter.

Beech Hill Park and Disc Golf Course

Perched on a ridge above Sackville, Beech Hill Park offers impressive views of the Tantramar Marshes. Free family-friendly 18-hole disc golf course, playground, walking trails, picnic tables, potable water and washroom facilities. The park is a great place to fly a kite, toss a Frisbee or walk your pup. During the winter, enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on groomed and track-set trails. Special events year-round.

Fundy Trail Provincial Park Beaches

Long Beach features a 2.5 km stretch of sandy shoreline rimmed with an interesting array of cobbled rocks. At low tide, the beach extends 500 metres into the bay so you can truly walk on the ocean floor. Picnic shelters, washrooms, and interpretive panels are found here, so pack a lunch and plan to spend the day. The park also has several discovery beaches—including Melvin, Pangburn, Seely and Big Salmon River—that are ideal to explore on an adventurous hike.

Carleton Park

4.4 ha (11 acres) of waterfront green space offers a spectacular view of Fredericton's downtown and the most amazing sunsets. A public boat launch is also accessible. Benches and shelters make this a wonderful picnic site. Carleton Park is located on the city's trail network, North Riverfront Trail, making it an ideal destination from the south side of Fredericton by way of the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge.

Ritchie Wharf Park

‘Shipbuilding' is the theme of this charming public park. While this very waterfront was once a thriving shipbuilding industry, today it is a place where your children can have fun in the nautically themed playground. They'll love to play and get wet on the splash pad, then sit down for a scoop (or 3) of ice cream! You'll appreciate the boardwalk's shops, artists' gallery and restaurants. You can dock or launch your boat from Ritchie Wharf Park, or embark on an exciting boat tour or charter. Enjoy live entertainment most evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Petit-Témis Interprovincial Linear Park

The Petit-Témis is a linear park bordering the Madawaska River and Lake Temiscouata all the way to the St. Lawrence River, offering a lovely and picturesque route along the way. Linking the cities of Edmundston, NB and Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, with over more than 130 km (81 miles) of trails, Petit-Témis is the first interprovincial cycling network in Canada. Because the trail was built on an abandoned railway line the grade is never more than 4 per cent, making it easily accessible to all. You can pause to catch your breath at one of many rest stops along the way.

Dutch Point Park Trail

Open year-round, 2000 metres of hiking, walking and biking trails through a 30 acre park and along Ossekeag Creek, a diverse wetland area part of Trans Canada Trail (The Great Trail). The park also includes 2 ball fields, a family playground and Erb's Hill, a popular sliding spot in winter. Includes five routes; Erb's Hill (100m), Wetmore's Walk (300m), Coleman's Trail (600m), Pendergrass Trail (250m), Haden Hill's Loop (600m).

Magnetic Hill (Parkindale) Covered Bridge

Originally constructed as Parkindale Covered Bridge in 1916 (Coverdale River #7, in Albert County), this 17.5 m (57.5 ft.) long structure was relocated to Magnetic Hill and rebuilt in 1982. Driving directions: Route 2, Exit 450, to Route 126 North, (Mountain Road) to Magnetic Hill Theme Park.

Herring Cove Provincial Park Golf Course

Tee up and swing away at Herring Cove Provincial Park's 9-hole golf course, overlooking the Bay of Fundy and Lake Glensevern. The course, designed by renowned golf course architect Geoffrey Cornish, is complete with a licensed restaurant, golf carts, showers, lockers, pro shop, putting green, and club rentals.

Inch Arran Trailer Park

The Inch Arran Park is a beautiful and low-insect campsite. The main attraction of our campsite is its location; it offers a magnificent view of over the Baie of Chaleur. It offers a mix of natural beauty and ancient heritage where you are next to a beach that is just perfect for games, safe bathing, water sports for all ages, and close to the countryside which offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure and activities.

Pokeshaw Park & Beach

Beautiful park and beach which operated and maintained by community volunteers. Unsupervised saltwater swimming beach. Scenic lookout, birdwatching, cormorant nesting site, and wind- and wave-carved shoreline. Picnic site, washrooms.

The Aqua Park of Pokemouche Camping

Inflatable water slide and water park at Camping Pokemouche, a friendly family campground, located along the Pokemouche River, in the heart of the Acadian Peninsula near main attractions and a golf course.

St. Stephen Municipal Visitor Information Centre

Scott Brook Park

Located on the banks of the St. Croix River, Scott Brook Park is the perfect place if you love canoeing and backwoods camping. Featuring 7 tent sites and 8 trailer sites along with a put-in launch for canoes, it is a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

Île-Aux-Foins Park

Unsupervised saltwater beach with shallow water, change rooms, washrooms, playground, picnic area, observation tower and birdwatching, trail, boardwalk and floating bridges. Day park only.

Neguac Bird Sanctuary (Île-Aux-Foins Park)

A perfect spot for nature lovers as well as loads of room for family fun - the Neguac Bird Sanctuary has it all at Île-aux-Foins Park. Boardwalks and floating decks connect you to sandy beaches jutting into the ocean waves. This is a true eco-tourism site with interpretative signs to fill you in on the flora and fauna native to the area. An observation tower stands at one end of the beautiful beach, where you can gaze out to Portage Island National Wildlife area.
