Myers Church

Lovely historical church built in 1889, facing the sea, the Myers United Church is home to the Myers Community Centre. The Hardwicke Community Group at Myers develops and coordinates community activities at the Myers Community Centre, including showing the "Still Fishing - Beyond the Escuminac Disaster" documentary and a yearly memorial service for the Escuminac Disaster.

Owens Art Gallery

The Owens Art Gallery, established in 1895 on the campus of Mount Allison University, is Canada's oldest university art gallery. Changing exhibitions highlight contemporary and historical art by regional, national and international artists. Also featured is a permanent exhibition devoted to the work of Alex Colville. The Owens presents a variety of artists' talks, workshops and special events throughout the year and regular programs for children and families. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Kite Académie René Jobin

Professional and personalized kitesurfing and wingfoil lessons by René Jobin on the island of Lamèque, in the Acadian Peninsula. This sport that can be practiced all year round on both water and snow. René has an IKO level 2 instructor diploma and been in the kite teaching field for over 20 years. He fell in love with the sport because of the high adrenaline it gave him, and he is ready to pass on his PASSION to you!

Creek Village Gallery

Creek Village Gallery and Café is an art and fine craft co-op. Work by 40 local artists and artisans, including original art and prints, stationery, pottery, jewellery, wrought iron, soaps, soy candles and fibre arts, woodcarving and bowls, stained glass and fabric fashion accessories. There are onsite demonstrations. Our café serves teas and specialty coffees. The menu includes onsite prepared soups, sandwiches, muffins, cookies and desserts. There are organic, vegetarian and vegan options.

Historical Walking Tours (self-guided), Sackville

Canadian Geographic Travel and Adventure touts Sackville as a town "made for walking." To complement your walk, stop by the Sackville Information Centre and pick up copies of the self-guided heritage tours - "Historic Sights and Sounds of Downtown Sackville," and "A Walking/Cycling Tour of Historical Middle Sackville." The tours highlight many of Sackville's historic buildings and properties that date back to 18th-century early settlement of the region. There is also a newly updated Arts Walk brochure, highlighting many of Sackville's fascinating arts sights.

Richelieu Municipal Park

A beautiful park in the heart of the Municipality of Neguac, this green space is home to the historic Savoie Family Monument. In the summer, enjoy a gazebo that doubles as a stage, along with picnic tables, washrooms and a canteen. Kids will love the playground and splash pad. In the winter, visitors can take advantage of skating and walking trails. The park also hosts special events throughout the year.

W. S. Loggie Cultural Museum

An 18th-century Victorian home houses artifacts from 1850 onward. The famous painting by H. W. Hoyt “Portrait of Francis Peabody," founder of the town of Chatham, a history of the Loggie family and First World War artifacts are found here. The original World War I Victory Flag may be of particular interest.The house is used for meetings, craft sales, teas and many social events. This unique home is a special part of the heritage and culture of the region. Guided tours are available during the summer or by appointment by board members in off-season.

Historic Garrison District

NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE AND PROVINCIAL HERITAGE PLACE. Welcome to Fredericton's historic and cultural heart. Located in the city's beautiful downtown, next to the Saint John River, the Garrison is a centre for heritage, culture, craft and entertainment. This National Historic Site is where you'll find an enticing blend of musicians, artists, historic re-enactments and attractions; including the Thursday Garrison Night Market. The Garrison District hosts several festivals including the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.

Mulholland Point Lighthouse

This is the only lighthouse shared by Canada and the United States. The Mulholland Point Lighthouse was built in 1885. The original octagonal, wooden structure is located within Roosevelt Campobello International Park and is well maintained. You can enjoy a picnic at this spot with a view toward the F. D. R. International Bridge that connects Campobello Island to Lubec, Maine. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 56 at St. George, NB, onto Route 172 to Letete, take the toll-free ferry to Deer Island (ferry interruption: 1-888-747-7006).
