Mactaquac Provincial Park

The Four-Season Playground Open for all four seasons, Mactaquac Provincial Park offers many outdoor activities to explore. Situated amongst an expansive woodland, this 1,300-acre riverside playground along the scenic Saint John River offers many outdoor recreational activities, along with an extensive network of hiking trails to explore and a tranquil beaver pond nature reserve. From golfing on the 18-hole championship golf course to camping, freshwater beaches and treetop aerial adventures, there is always an adventure to be had at the park.

Grand Bay-Westfield

Located in southwestern New Brunswick along the beautiful Saint John River, you will find the town of Grand Bay-Westfield, the result of the two, originally separate, villages being officially merged in 1998. A growing community, Grand Bay-Westfield is the gateway to the Lower St. John River Valley. The town also has a ferry landing at the end of Ferry Road where the cable ferry connects Grand Bay-Westfield with the community of Hardings Point, across the river on the Kingston Peninsula. A campground and public beach can be found in these locations, near the ferry landings.

Inch Arran Lighthouse (Bon Ami)

This 1870 lighthouse stands on a point with a panoramic view of Chaleur Bay. Originally called the Bon Ami Point Light, it was converted to a range light in 1972 and is still active. The original wooden, salt-shaker tower has a unique ‘birdcage' lantern. It's a perfect spot for birdwatching and it's also just 100 m (328 ft.) from beautiful Inch Arran Park, where you'll find a sandy beach, campground, food, gift shop and a Visitor Information Centre. One of the longest combined fresh and saltwater sandbar in the world is located nearby. Driving directions: Route 134, near Inch Arran Park

Kouchibouguac National Park

Kouchibouguac National Park stretches along the Acadian Coastal Drive and is your all-season destination. In winter, it’s a snowbound fun-zone. Find pristine trails for fat-bike and cross-country skiing and endless possibilities for snowshoeing. In the summer, it boasts some of the warmest salt water north of Virginia. Take the family for an unforgettable camping adventure. Cycle along fantastic bicycle trails or walk along endless stretches of sand dunes. At night, the sky is a true celestial masterpiece. Each of these natural wonders intertwines with Mi’gmaq and Acadian cultures.
