Lamèque

Take a leisurely drive to this scenic Acadian island. Situated off the coast of northeastern New Brunswick, Lamèque separates the waters of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence and Chaleur Bay. Fishing is the main industry, with more than than 40 species of fish, mollusks and crustaceans to be found in the waters.

The Gagetown Marina is situated in the heart of the beautiful lower Saint John River, making it a great starting place to explore all the coves, lakes and bays in the surrounding area. The full-service Marina provides docks and moorings for seasonal and long- and short-term stays Our on-site amenities include the sale of fuel (gas and diesel), a pump-out station, electrical hookups on the docks, private shower facilities, and a laundromat. Also on-site is The Old Boot Pub and Dockside Bar, a restaurant/pub with lots of outdoor seating overlooking the marina and river.

Salmon Plaza

The city of Campbellton is the entry point to Atlantic Canada, set amid one of the world's oldest mountain ranges and on the shores of Chaleur Bay. Campbellton is also the home of the “world's largest salmon”, centuries of history and a world of natural wonders. Here, at the mouth of the Restigouche River, you'll find many adventures waiting for you. A stroll along the city's waterfront is highlighted by Restigouche Sam, the 8.5-m (28-ft.) tall Atlantic salmon - a shiny, larger-than-life stainless steel sculpture.

St. Martins

Once a shipbuilding centre, this gateway to the Fundy Trail Provincial Park is famous for its red cliffs, echo caves and birdwatching activities. This is a lovely seaside community whose daily rhythms are guided by the rising and falling of the World's Highest Tides. At high water, the colourful fishing boats bob in the water in the village harbour. Once the tide recedes, those same boats sit in the mud on the ocean floor! The harbour is tremendously photogenic. It's encircled by two covered bridges, a lighthouse and public gardens.

Youghall Beach Park

Experience Youghall Beach's golden sands and stunning blue waters. Enjoy FREE access to some Eastern Canada's warmest waters in the Chaleur Bay, along with groomed sandy beaches. With a boardwalk reaching the beach from several access points, an outdoor platform for yoga sessions, five beach volleyball courts, a boat slip, great fishing spots, an outdoor amphitheatre, and a playground area, Youghall Beach Park is an ideal destination for the young and young at heart.

Cummings Cove, English's Bar, Stuart Town Beaches

Deer Island is an outdoor haven with rocky beaches, lobster pounds, and contrasting cove and bay views. Its discovery beaches provide for hours of beachcombing for driftwood, shells and rocks. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 56, onto Route 172 to Letete. Take the toll-free ferry to Deer Island onto Route 772.

Cleveland Brook Cottage

This cozy cottage is set on a 3/4 acre property. Enjoy the outdoors and play games, BBQ on the large deck, relax around the fire pit or lounge in the sun and listen to the soothing waters of Cleveland Brook. This cottage is located within walking distance of the Alma wharf and the many wonderful restaurants and shops in town. Fundy National Park is only minutes away by car where you can hike, fish, swim, kayak, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and golf. ATV and snowmobile trails are also close by.

Escuminac Beach and Family Park

Just a two-minute walk from the campground, Escuminac Beach is a beauty! Saunter along boardwalks, pause under the gazebo for a picnic, watch well over 50 species of seabird, or simply admire the view and breathtaking sunsets over Miramichi Bay. A walking trail starts at the campground and leads to the first lighthouse built on the province's East Coast. Be sure to check out Point Escuminac, where tree fragments from a forest dating back 4,300 years can be seen at the base of the peat section.

Canada Games Aquatic Centre

The Canada Games Aquatic Centre is an aquatics and fitness facility, located in the heart of Uptown Saint John. This facility was built to host the 1985 Canada Summer Games. The Aquatic Centre, through its supporting communities of Grand Bay-Westfield, Quispamsis, Rothesay, and Saint John contributes to the health and well-being of the citizens of these four communities and the people of New Brunswick. Services within the facility include lap swimming, swimming lessons, fitness classes, fitness centre with equipment, functional training areas, and more.

Camping DT

Family-run campground on 10 ha (25 acres) with a 4-ha (10-acre) open field overlooking the beautiful Bouctouche Bay. Just 3 km (2 mi.) from the town of Bouctouche on Route 475. The campground features large, mostly seasonal sites and a gravel road and pad. Firewood for sale on site. Comb the beach or even try your hand at clam digging. Bistro La Brôkerie

Located in one of the colourful shacks on the Carrefour de la Mer site, with a magnificent view of Caraquet Bay, La Brôkerie Bistro is a nice place to have a drink, chat and enjoy live music.

St. George Walking Trails

Trails in this small Fundy coast community will lead you on a scenic walk through marshes and wetlands along the lovely Magaguadavic River. Marsh Trail starts behind the St. George Curling Club on Marsh Lane and travels between the river and the Ducks Unlimited Marsh. The River Trail, on the other side of the river, follows along the shore between Portage Street and Adventure Street.

Quaco Head Lighthouse

Quaco Head Lighthouse stands on a scenic point with an excellent view of St. Martins' beach and the Fundy coastline. This 1855 tower was replaced in 1966 and altered a decade later with a concrete structure. It's the perfect spot for a picnic and birdwatching. The Quaco Museum, in the heart of St. Martins, has several lighthouse artifacts, including the Fresnel lens from the old structure. Accessible via Route 111 to West Quaco Road, then turn left on Lighthouse Road.
