Elmhurst Outdoors

Elmhurst Outdoors is a small family run operation that promotes education and recreation in the outdoors. We provide various fun-filled opportunities throughout the year.

In spring, Elmhurst Outdoors bustles with activity with their Maple Sugar Bush Tour & Pancakes. Take a walk through time on our maple syrup guided interpretive hike. Enjoy a tree-tapping demonstration, visit the evaporating room and delight in the traditional treat of taffy-on-snow. Many make their visit complete with a stop at our lodge where they enjoy a delicious meal of home-made pancakes (made with local Speerville flour), locally made Degenhardt sausage, Gig's baked beans, and, of course, pure maple syrup!

During the summer, we offer canoe and kayak instruction on the scenic Belleisle Bay. In fall, guests can revel in the colours of autumn during guided hikes and canoe outings followed by scrumptious seasonal, local, home cooked luncheons.

When the snow flies, cross-country skiers enjoy our groomed trails (both classic and skate skiing), and our snowshoe trails provide a perfect escape in the winter woods. Our cozy lodge is available for meeting space and meals for up to 60 people.
