It's easy to see why this island is a popular summer destination with travellers the world over! Dunn Beach is smooth and sandy. Friar's Bay has a lovely view across the water to Eastport, Maine. It's the perfect place for a leisurely stroll, or to just sit and enjoy the breathtaking view. Raccoon Beach, accessible by trail, is located within Roosevelt International Park.

This cozy cottage is set on a 3/4 acre property. Fundy National Park is only minutes away by car where you can hike, fish, swim, kayak, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and golf. ATV and snowmobile trails are also close by.

Dobson Trail (Riverview to Alma)

The Dobson Trail is a footpath that starts on Pine Glen Road in the town of Riverview and continues through the Albert County Caledonia Highlands to the eastern boundary of Fundy National Park. The first 2 km (1.25 mi.) of the trail bed are maintained to Park standards and are wheelchair accessible. The initial section also has a guide wire for the visually challenged. The remaining section is maintained to Appalachian Trail Standards. The trail can be hiked in 3 days and is used in all seasons by hikers, snowshoers and backcountry skiers.

Oromocto Waterfront

The Oromocto Waterfront is a beautiful location for gatherings, long walks along the river or picnics. This area includes the Oromocto Marina, the Sir Douglas Hazen Park green, Fort Hughes Military Blockhouse, Second Nature Outdoors small crafts aquatic centre, and the Hazen Park Centre. Come spend a relaxing day by the water with family and friends!

Plaster Rock Campground

Pleasant campground surrounded by nature. Enjoy the on-site tennis/pickleball court, heated pool, nature trails, partially serviced camping lots for your RV and 2 bunkies, arena and fitness centre. The park has a beautiful welcome centre that can be rented year round, a pavilion by Roulston Lake, and the lake itself that you can paddle boat around. Only an hour away from Mount Carleton.

Petit-Rocher is an Acadian municipality located on the coast of the beautiful Chaleur Bay. There are accommodations, restaurants, a superb beach and a great recreational park with services, picnic areas and games (volleyball, horseshoes and washers).

Pointe-Sapin Lighthouse (Rear Range)

This 1903 salt-shaker style lighthouse has a yellow navigation light. It is located on the Acadian Coastal Drive, 8 km (5 mi.) north of Kouchibouguac National Park of Canada, located on a very small parcel of land adjacent to residential properties. For your enjoyment, there is a beach across the road. There is limited parking. This lighthouse is operational and an active aid to navigation. It has a square white pyramidal shaped wooden tower with a red-square lantern and a red-vertical stripe on the corner facing the alignment.

Huge annual indoor craft artisan market open 5 days a week from May to December, featuring Maritime-made (with some exceptions) products, crafts and and artisans (over 100). We are located at the VERY back of Shediac Mall, accessible via Calder or Comeau Street. We have our own separate entrance. Lots of parking. Very near Pascal-Poirier Park.

Oromocto Trails

Enjoy year-round fun on our three trail systems here in Oromocto! Families can experience a leisurely walk at our Deer Park trails, Gateway trails with their lovely bridges and along the Trans-Canada Trail. The River Valley Cycling Club maintains the Deer Park trails in the winter which are great for fatbiking.
