Beresford Beach

Beresford Beach is one of the most popular attractions in the Acadie-Bathurst Region. Adjacent to the city of Bathurst, it's the perfect place to swim, relax and bask in the sun. Beresford Beach is an unsupervised saltwater beach with washrooms, picnic tables, canteen, a park, toys for children and an outdoor stage. Musical entertainment is provided throughout the summer season on Sunday afternoons, Wednesday evenings and during special events. Visitors can take advantage of a hiking trail, a wooden boardwalk and footbridge as well as an observation tower. The birds, the plant life, the sea and the largest salt marsh in the Chaleur Region afford plenty of opportunities for those who like to observe nature. Beresford is welcoming and very friendly. The town has excellent restaurants and everything visitors need to make their stay the most pleasant of experiences.
