Club plein air de Caraquet (Caraquet Outdoor Club)

Outdoor activities for the whole family, in all seasons, right in downtown Caraquet! During the summer, come and walk in our trails and enjoy our new mountain bike course. In the winter, the Caraquet Outdoor Club has excellent cross-country ski trails (classic and skating) for all tastes and age groups, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or experienced skier. Explore the forest on snowshoe trails marked for your safety. Bikes are allowed on snowshoe trails (although cyclists must yield to visitors on foot). Skating enthusiasts have access to a 500-m (1640-ft.) ice rink surrounded by trees and a hockey-style rink with music and lighting in the evening. Look for up-to-date trails and ice conditions on the club's website. Winter visitors can take advantage of snowshoe, ski and skate rentals (helmet included depending on availability) at the service desk during opening hours (no reservations). Skiing and ski waxing clinics are also offered, and a waxing table is available to skiers in the main room of the chalet. Thanks to volunteers and certified coaches, the club offers skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking lessons, youth and adult programs and competitions organized by the élites du Nord-Roi cross-country ski club. A microwave is available to members. Vending machines provide drinks, snacks, hot chocolate and coffee for your post-activity cravings. You can also rent a room for 50 people (late December to late March) or the entire chalet, which can accommodate 125 people (May 1 to the end of December).
