The Ganong Nature Park is situated on a 142-ha (350-acre) peninsula with magnificent views of Saint Croix Island and the Passamaquoddy Bay. Steeped in history, the park has 4 interconnected hiking trails. The Ganong Nature Park is designed to attract people to a place that has an interesting, practical and applied purpose in a proactive learning environment. Workshops and lectures are conducted on the Ganong Nature Park building's main floor. This is where hands-on teaching, research and learning activities take place. Global warming, alternate energy, sustainable sewage treatment, fisheries restoration, pollution and health, coastal land development, developing an eco-economy; all of these issues and more are topics for programs.Public access to the beach is available. The park is also a great location for reunions, weddings and other special events.
