Pagan Point Nature Preserve

Visit a provincial archaeological site and access the beach. The Pagan Point Nature Preserve is a 12 ha (30 acre) piece of land found within the Town of Saint Andrews on Passamaquoddy Bay. A shell midden is a deposit of mollusk shells that are indicative of human settlement and aquatic harvesting activities. In addition to its archaeological significance, the nature preserve offers numerous opportunities for hiking and sightseeing, as you can follow the 0.7 km (0.4 mi.) woodchip trail through a wooded area to a salt marsh. You can also visit a 0.5 km (0.3 mi.) beach and walk along the bay. Pagan Point is easily accessible, with free parking found at both the north and south sides of the preserve.Find the ExploreEcoNB mobile application on Apple, Android, and Windows app stores (www.ExploreEcoNB.com) for directions to this nature preserve, as well as information about other Nature Trust of New Brunswick nature preserves and many more natural areas to explore throughout the province.
