Saint-Léonard is a charming community and is particularly picturesque during the warm days of late summer. The deep-green potato fields are accented by golden wheat, all set against a backdrop of the blue waters of the winding Saint John River. Discover the region by cycling or walking the Upper Saint John River Valley Trail and take the opportunity to observe many species of birds. In winter, delve into the forest to explore a beautiful snowmobile trail close to the Maine border.
In August, admire talent from New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, the United States and Europe at the annual Rendez-vous des artistes in Saint-Léonard, a 3-day event that brings together approximately 150 artists. Some are internationally known while others are just beginners, but they all have a common love of the arts and enjoy sharing this with others. Visitors are invited to watch the artists create works of art right before their very eyes, and to join in the community meals and evenings of music.
