The village of Atholville is a small community stretching along the Restigouche River, next door to the city of Campbellton, and known for its year-round activities. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Sugarloaf Provincial Park has much to offer. The newly installed mountain-bike park with lift-service access (the only one with this service in Atlantic Canada) will certainly please beginners and experts alike. During the summer, enjoy walking along the trails with your camera handy while birdwatching. Hike to the summit of a 305-m (1,000-ft.) mountain, swim, canoe or kayak before relaxing at your campsite. Winter activities include cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, skating and so much more. People are attracted to our community to enjoy the friendly and bilingual services of the local shopping centre and the various retail stores that continue to grow in number. Our modern library offers many services, one of which is free wireless Internet. We may be small in size, but we are big on outdoor adventure!
