The village of Eel River Dundee is a small community of 1,953 residents. Incorporated in November 1966, the village is named after the Eel River, which runs through it. Located off Route 11, the municipality has a charming 5-km (3-mi.) walking trail near the river, an optimal spot for trout fishing and bird watching. Accessible year-round, the trail is the perfect place to go for a leisurely stroll and observe the beauty of nature and wildlife.
Residents of Eel River Dundee have always been very active in community sports. Because of this, a variety of sporting facilities have been constructed, including the Rev. L & Lanteigne Baseball Field, an outdoor skating rink, tennis courts, a playground, and a canteen that is open for the summer. The volunteer Festival de la Rivière will be back again this year from August 12-18. Come and celebrate the occasion with your family and friends. Everyone is welcome!
