The village of Eel River Dundee is a small community of 1,953 residents. Incorporated in November 1966, the village is named after the Eel River, which runs through it. Located off Route 11, the municipality consists of a charming 5-km (3-mi.) walking trail. Open year round, the trail is the perfect place to go for a leisurely stroll and observe the beauty of nature and wildlife. The trail is part of the Sentier NB Trail and is located near the river, an optimal spot for trout fishing and bird watching. Residents of Eel River Dundee have always been very active in community sports. Because of this, a variety of sporting facilities have been constructed, including the Rev. L & Lanteigne Baseball Field, an outdoor skating rink, tennis courts, a playground, and a canteen that is open for the summer. The volunteer Festival de la Rivière 7th Edition will be back again this year from August 11th to August 16th. Come and celebrate the occasion with your family and friends. Everyone is welcome!
