Every Saturday morning from May to October, come to the farmers market located across from the Grand Falls Gorge, featuring seasonal farm-fresh produce, baked goods, homemade jams and jellies, pickles, preserves as well as arts, crafts, and music. Come for breakfast or lunch with the family and enjoy and savour good home-made cooking in Papa Joe's Kitchen at the food court named in honour of the late Joe Savage, a well-known and respected farmer. The Grand Falls Farmers Market is a great place to meet and greet old friends and embrace local culture.

We have a selection of quality beers that appeal to many taste buds, from the newly introduced to the more experienced craft beer enthusiast. Come live the experience of enjoying a glass in our beautiful taproom or our outdoor terrace. We also have growlers or cans to go!

Grand Falls Museum

Visit the museum located across the seasonal falls and gorge to discover an array of historical objects. Among the exhibits featured are the boots and goggles worn by the legendary jockey Ron Turcotte when he rode the powerful horse, Secretariat, and won the Triple Crown in 1973. Another interesting item on display is a wedding cake crafted in 1940. The various heritage articles on display will captivate the interest of both young and old alike.

Sackville Waterfowl Park

Winner of Environment Canada's National Award for Environmental Achievement Discover a wetland world beneath your feet! Focus your camera on the fuzzy ducklings, listen to a sunset chorus of marsh birds. The entertainment never stops at the Waterfowl Park! Admission is free. Guided tours offered mid-May to late August. Over 3 km (1.9 mi.) of winding boardwalks, trails, and viewing platforms. More than 150 species of birds and 200 species of plants have been recorded here.

Grand Falls Golf Club

Put your best golfing skills to the test and stop at the Grand Falls Golf Club where you'll need precision to play a winning game, especially on the back 9. The Grand Golf Club is recognized for its rugged beauty and panoramic views, particularly on the 6th and the 14th holes. Come and challenge yourself on a picturesque course! This classic 18-hole championship course is a classic in every sense of the word. The golf course is open 7 days a week.

Water Street Farmers Market

The Water Street Farmers Market, located in the former town of Chatham (now part of the city of Miramichi), is known for its warmth and hospitality. Open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm year round (except Jan-Feb), it features quality handcrafted wares—knitting, crochet, woodworking, pottery, handmade soaps, needlepoint, fine stitchery and quilts. Food vendors offer home-cooked breakfasts, baked goods and specialty desserts, canned and pickled fruit and vegetables, meats, produce and bedding plants.

Drummond (Grand Falls)

The small, quiet village of Drummond, bordered by the Saint John River, Salmon River and Little River, is home to a proud francophone community living in a beautiful rural setting where potato farming is the main industry. The village is a short distance from the phenomenal Grand Falls Gorge, carved by the Saint John River and boasting walls up to 70 m (230 ft. high). Enjoy a leisurely canoe ride on the Salmon River and marvel at the scenery, rich with the colours of this agricultural land.

Reversing Falls Rapids

A unique phenomenon created by the collision of the Bay of Fundy and the Saint John River. At low tide the river empties into the bay causing a series of rapids and whirlpools. As tides rise they slow the river current for a brief period called slack tide. The Bay's tides continue to rise, gradually reversing the flow of the river; rapids form again, peaking at high tide. A 8.5-metre (28-foot) tide cycle is roughly 12.5 hours.
