City of Bathurst Trails

City and surrounding area trail network offering scenic views and wonderful photographic opportunities. Connecting to, or located beside the trail, are the Municipal Visitor Information Centre, restaurants, accommodations and shopping. Parking is available at several points along the trail.The walkways of Coronation, Richelieu and Harbourview parks are part of a linear park network offering walking enthusiasts a tour of downtown Bathurst. Nearby Daly Point Nature Reserve offers 6 km (4 mi.) of trails in the forest.

Neguac Bird Sanctuary (Île-Aux-Foins Park)

A perfect spot for nature lovers as well as loads of room for family fun - the Neguac Bird Sanctuary has it all at Île-aux-Foins Park. Boardwalks and floating decks connect you to sandy beaches jutting into the ocean waves. This is a true eco-tourism site with interpretative signs to fill you in on the flora and fauna native to the area. An observation tower stands at one end of the beautiful beach, where you can gaze out to Portage Island National Wildlife area.

Cabane à sucre Gabi et frères Sugar Shack

Rustic maple-sugar camp with panoramic views, bordering a river and using a wood-fired evaporator, with taps and buckets. Parking and 'Les Aventuriers' cross-country ski trail nearby. The sugar shack is open in the spring for the sale of maple products, taffy on the snow and a hearty brunch every Sunday.

Cap-Acadie (Cap-Pelé) Visitor Information Centre

Stop at the Cap-Acadie Visitor Information Centre in Cap-Pelé to receive information about this region of the province, such as travel assistance, itinerary planning, and information about events, attractions and festivals.The Centre has a souvenir boutique and is located on a historic site, where the first inhabitants of Cap-Pelé settled in 1804. The building resembles a herring smokehouse and houses a Smokehouse Museum.

Pointe-Sapin Lighthouse (Rear Range)

This 1903 salt-shaker style lighthouse has a yellow navigation light. It is located on the Acadian Coastal Drive, 8 km (5 mi.) north of Kouchibouguac National Park of Canada, located on a very small parcel of land adjacent to residential properties. For your enjoyment, there is a beach across the road. There is limited parking. This lighthouse is operational and an active aid to navigation. It has a square white pyramidal shaped wooden tower with a red-square lantern and a red-vertical stripe on the corner facing the alignment.

La Bikery Co-operative is a community bicycle centre with rental bikes, a recycle-a-bike program, and a workshop space for bicycle maintenance and repairs. Located in the heart of downtown Moncton, on the NB Trail/Trans Canada Trail near the Petitcodiac River, the co-operative promotes cycling culture in The Greater Moncton tri-community (Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe).
