Cap-Pelé (Cap-Acadie)

With tall sea grass swaying gently across long sandy beaches and the brightly painted fishing boats bobbing alongside the wooden wharves, Cap-Pelé paints a picture seaside postcard of a colourful Acadian village. Cap-Pelé is North America's largest exporter of smoked herring, producing some of the most scrumptious bloaters on the continent. If you don't believe it, step inside a smokehouse and taste for yourself! Of course, being this close to the sea, herring is not all that's on the menu. Savour the flavour of fresh, juicy scallops or steamed lobster.

Centreville (Carleton North)

Located on the Presque Isle Stream near the United States border, find many shops with unique treasures to discover. The village hosts the Annual Super-Power Tractor Pull, an event you are sure to enjoy.

Charlo (Heron Bay)

Nestled on the shores of Chaleur Bay, One of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, Charlo is one of the oldest settlements in Restigouche County. Chipman (Grand Lake)

Located on the banks of the Salmon River, at the head of Grand Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the Maritime Provinces, explore the peaceful rural beauty of Chipman. Lots of outdoor fun with fishing, boating, snowmobiling and camping. Visit Chipman by boating to our Marina; travel the Saint John River system to Grand Lake and Salmon River. On your way along Salmon River to Chipman Marina, watch for ospreys, Bald eagles and several species of ducks nesting along the river. Tie up at the Chipman Marina Wharf as your home base for jet skiing, waterskiing, sailing and windsurfing.

Doaktown

The village of Doaktown's Municipal Office is located in the heart of the Miramichi, along the Miramichi River. The famous Miramichi River is one of the most productive salmon rivers in the world, in both past and present day. Not only is the Southwest Miramichi River among the top 10 cleanest rivers in the world, it is home to the elusive Atlantic salmon that has tempted the skill of men for centuries. Doaktown's history is both colourful and diverse, changing with time and industry.

Dorchester (Tantramar)

The village of Dorchester is located between Memramcook and Sackville, in the Memramcook valley, and overlooks Shepody Bay and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, being part of the Fundy UNESCO biosphere. The World's Largest Sandpiper stands in the Village Square, carved from a single log. Nearby are the village's two museums, the Keillor House and St. James Presbyterian Church, and The Bell Inn. Built in 1811, the inn is the oldest stone structure in New Brunswick.

Drummond (Grand Falls)

The small, quiet village of Drummond, bordered by the Saint John River, Salmon River and Little River, is home to a proud francophone community living in a beautiful rural setting where potato farming is the main industry. The village is a short distance from the phenomenal Grand Falls Gorge, carved by the Saint John River and boasting walls up to 70 m (230 ft. high). Enjoy a leisurely canoe ride on the Salmon River and marvel at the scenery, rich with the colours of this agricultural land.

Eel River Dundee (Bois-Joli)

The village of Eel River Dundee is a small community incorporated in November 1966. It is named after the Eel River, which runs through it. Located off Route 11, the municipality has a charming 5-km (3-mi.) walking trail near the river, an optimal spot for trout fishing and bird watching. Accessible year-round, the trail is the perfect place to go for a leisurely stroll and observe the beauty of nature and wildlife.

Fredericton Junction

Take a side trip to discover this historical community and visit three of the province's covered bridges nearby.

Gagetown (Arcadia)

Nestled along the bank of the Saint John River, the village of Gagetown is a gem worth discovering. Birdwatching, boating, shopping and dining are all here. If history and genealogy are your interests, the Queens County Historical Society has two museums and a wealth of information about the families and history of the area. Gagetown's founders' chosen strategic location has proven ideal for birdwatching. Being on one of North America's migration flight paths, and having a wide variety of natural habitats in the area, make this a birder's paradise.

Grande-Anse (Rivière-du-Nord)

Make Grande-Anse your starting point for ocean excursions in Chaleur Bay. Fishing and boating are just a few of the activities that await you in this charming seaside town. This gateway to the Acadian Peninsula is home to a colourful Acadian lighthouse and boasts fabulous beaches. Take your kayak to the beach and paddle along the shoreline -- a great number of bird species are in the area, so watch for a sighting while enjoying the peaceful sound of the waves as they sweep in to shore.

Harvey

The village of Harvey, situated between rolling hills, is surrounded by seven lakes. You'll find an abundance of hospitality, craft and gift shops, restaurants, a post office and a bank. WWE Smith’s Country store has been in business since 1869.Stop and see the 4-m x 2-m (13-ft. x 6-ft.) fiddle erected in memory of the late Don Messer, born in Tweedside. Harvey Taylor Field offers a rest for tourists and provides access to Harvey Lake for every boating enthusiasts.

Hillsborough (Fundy-Albert)

Home of the NB Railway Museum and the Honourable William Henry Steeves House Museum. Enjoy the wetlands park; walking trails and mountain biking trails. Stop and shop in the Artisan Village which features local crafters selling their wares - you can't miss the brightly coloured buildings by the Visitor Information Centre on Main Street.

Kedgwick

The village of Kedgwick sits in the heart of the Appalachian-mountain country, where you will find a rich history, breathtaking beauty and endless opportunities for exploration! Kedgwick’s history dates back to the early 1900s when many French-Canadian families were drawn to the area by the county’s rich forest and plentiful waters.

Lac Baker (Haut-Madawaska)

McAdam

Located on the New Brunswick/Maine border along Route 4, the Village of McAdam has been greeting visitors since the mid 1800’s when it served as a major railway center. This rural community is home to the McAdam Railway Station, a National Historic Site of Canada and New Brunswick Provincial Historic Site, and likes to be known as New Brunswick’s friendliest village, having hosted thousands of passengers passing through by train.

Meductic (Lakeland Ridges)

Located along the beautiful Saint John River near the Maliseet Trail. Beautiful park by the river, and a great bass-fishing area. Home to world-famous SABIAN cymbals. Meductic has the distinction of being one of the smallest villages in the province, based on population.

Memramcook

Discover the wide array of activities and scenic views that Memramcook, one of the country's most beautiful villages, has to offer. Enjoy the open views of the marshlands from the many walking and biking trails. Visit the region's attractions : Belliveau Orchards, les Petits Fruits de Pré-d'en-Haut berry farm, Pain du Collège Bakery, Beaumont Chapel, Monument-Lefebvre National Historic Site, the Memramcook Valley Golf Club and the Memramcook valley historical society's museum. Millville

From its waterfront village centre to its Fall Festival and Craft Fair, Millville is sure to be worth the stop.

Minto (Grand Lake)

This quaint community played a leading role in the local coal industry and introduces you to an important part of New Brunswick history. Minto is home to the New Brunswick Internment Camp Museum, the Minto Coal Mining Museum, and a first-class mountain biking trail system.

Neguac

This peaceful and cultural village is the Savoie capital of the world and the gateway to the Acadian Peninsula. Neguac was proclaimed "Atlantic Canada's Oyster Hub" in 2007. The nice beaches and bird sanctuary of Île-aux-Foins Park provide a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of your surroundings. Head over to Richelieu Municipal Park for a great place to cool off and to grab something to eat at our canteen.

New Maryland

The community of New Maryland is adjacent to the city of Fredericton and is an ideal location in which to live. A variety of recreational and leisure programs are available throughout the year for young and old alike. The close proximity makes Fredericton’s diverse cultural facilities, universities and other recreational facilities easily accessible. Being near agricultural and forest lands gives New Maryland a distinctly rural character. The village is committed to maintaining its rural flavour with emphasis on green space and environmental protection.

Nigadoo (Belle-Baie)

Nigadoo is a picturesque village located between Beresford and Petit-Rocher, just 9 km (5.6 mi.) from Bathurst. Long before the Acadians arrived in the region, the Mi'gmaq had discovered the natural shelter offered by the banks of the river and had named the place Nigadoo, meaning hiding place or refuge, in their native language. The village was incorporated in 1967 and is now home to over 1,000 inhabitants. It is both a residential and vacation community where life is good.
