Cape Enrage

The Bay of Fundy is one of the Marine Wonders of the World with tides rising as much as 16.3 m (53 vertical feet) over a 12-hour period twice each day. Cape Enrage offers one of the most spectacular views of the natural phenomenon from its towering cliffs and has been a light station and fog alarm since 1838. We are proudly part of the Fundy Biosphere Reserve and the Fundy Coastal Drive Experience. Along with its natural beauty, Cape Enrage also offers family-friendly adventures!

Hampton Marsh

This is one of the largest and most diverse areas of the St. John River flood plain. Located within a maze of oxbows, tributaries and backwaters of the Kennebecasis River, it is a haven for migrating and breeding waterfowl, other marsh birds, songbirds and birds of prey. In addition to being a prime location for birding, the marsh also offers excellent opportunity for photography, recreational boating, canoeing and kayaking. The Dutch Point Park Trail System along with the Trans Canada Trail system provide lookout sites and interpretation areas.

Old Sow Whirlpool

The largest tidal whirlpool in the western hemisphere peaks during the new- and full-moon phases. Can be seen three hours prior to high tide from Deer Island Point Park. Enjoy the toll-free ferry ride over to Deer Island and experience a little taste of the Bay of Fundy on your way when you view the Old Sow! Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 56, onto Route 172 to Letete. Take the toll-free ferry to Deer Island onto Route 772.

Canadian Military Engineers Museum

The Canadian Military Engineers Museum tells the story of the men and women who are “first in,” “last out”, and their vital role in the success of military and peacekeeping operations. The museum houses over 35,000 of the finest engineer-specific and general military artifacts. There is ample parking for cars, buses and RVs.

Lamèque Island

Gondola Point Beach

Gondola Point Beach is a supervised freshwater beach with changing rooms and picnic areas. It is situated on a sandbar overlooking the Kennebecasis River at the entrance to the Gondola Point Cable Ferry service in Quispamsis. A large parking area is located off Gondola Point Road. Signs are posted when lifeguards are on duty.
