Cape Enrage

The Bay of Fundy is one of the Marine Wonders of the World with tides rising as much as 16.3 m (53 vertical feet) over a 12-hour period twice each day. Cape Enrage offers one of the most spectacular views of the natural phenomenon from its towering cliffs and has been a light station and fog alarm since 1838. Hampton Marsh

This is one of the largest and most diverse areas of the St. John River flood plain. Located within a maze of oxbows, tributaries and backwaters of the Kennebecasis River, it is a haven for migrating and breeding waterfowl, other marsh birds, songbirds and birds of prey. In addition to being a prime location for birding, the marsh also offers excellent opportunity for photography, recreational boating, canoeing and kayaking. The Dutch Point Park Trail System along with the Trans Canada Trail system provide lookout sites and interpretation areas.

Tidal Bore

Caused by the Bay of Fundy tides, the Tidal Bore occurs twice daily. Watch the water in the Petitcodiac River roll back upstream in one wave that can go up to 60 cm in height! Estimated Tidal Bore times online and at the Visitor Information Centre beside Bore Park, downtown Moncton. Please note: Many factors may affect the time of the Bore by 15 to 20 minutes before or after the scheduled arrival time. Arrive early!

Wilson's Point Historic Site

Located within Enclosure Park in the community of Derby, Wilson’s Point is the final tip of land at the confluence of the Northwest and Southwest Miramichi rivers. It is the site of the first English Settlement along the Miramichi River, with an interpretive centre housed in the replica of the 1790 church, a trading post, a historic 240-year-old graveyard, and walking trails. It is now cared for by the Miramichi Scottish Heritage Association. Visitors are welcome to tour the buildings and enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Nepisiguit Centennial Museum/Cultural Centre

In 2003 the Bathurst Heritage Trust Commission Inc. acquired the Nepisiguit Centennial Library building and immediately created the Nepisiguit Centennial Museum/Cultural Centre, which houses the Heritage Museum, the Nepisiguit Genealogy/Archives. The artifacts, including photos, archives, genealogical documents, and histories of the native Aboriginal culture, represent the general life of the people of the region in the early days. There is no precise theme running through the museum, but the past comes alive for both local and other visitors.

Anderson Hollow Lighthouse

This original lighthouse (Est. 1889) with its wooden, salt-shaker tower is a historic landmark. Originally located on Anderson Hollow wharf at Waterside, it has been relocated four times. Presently, it's on exhibit at Shipyard Park, on Mary's Point Road, at Harvey Bank. The site is open; however, the tower is closed.Driving directions: Off Route 915, on Mary's Point Road

Forty Five River No. 1 Covered Bridge

Built in 1914, this covered bridge is 29 m (94 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 211, Route 114 South for 45.6 km (28.3 mi.), onto Forty-Five Road, in Fundy National Park.

City of Fredericton Trails

The Fredericton trail system has more than 120 km (75 mi.) of non-motorized, multi-use trails on both sides of the Saint John River, joined by the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge. More than 21 km (13 mi.) of the trails are paved, all are accessible to pedestrians, cyclists, and wheelchairs. There are 10 major trails, varying in length, some going thru City parks and UNB.
