Cape Enrage

The Bay of Fundy is one of the Marine Wonders of the World with tides rising as much as 16.3 m (53 vertical feet) over a 12-hour period twice each day. Cape Enrage offers one of the most spectacular views of the natural phenomenon from its towering cliffs and has been a light station and fog alarm since 1838. Hampton Marsh

This is one of the largest and most diverse areas of the St. John River flood plain. Located within a maze of oxbows, tributaries and backwaters of the Kennebecasis River, it is a haven for migrating and breeding waterfowl, other marsh birds, songbirds and birds of prey. In addition to being a prime location for birding, the marsh also offers excellent opportunity for photography, recreational boating, canoeing and kayaking. The Dutch Point Park Trail System along with the Trans Canada Trail system provide lookout sites and interpretation areas.

Cape Enrage Nature Preserve

A best kept birder's delight along the Bay of Fundy, the Cape Enrage Nature Preserve is a little over an hour's drive outside of Moncton and a sure stop to make on your way to Fundy National Park. With a saltwater marsh known as a migratory bird staging, feeding, and resting area, it offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Fundy, which can be accessed by a public cobblestone beach. Deer Island - Campobello Island Ferry

Privately operated, toll ferries run between Deer Island and Campobello Island. Sail beautiful Passamaquoddy Bay, a unique corner of the Bay of Fundy. Join us for a day trip around the Quoddy Loop. Our service is the link that makes the loop complete. "The Old Sow," the largest tidal whirlpool in North America, can be seen from Deer Island Point Park, near our ferry landing. After Labour Day our schedule depends on weather and traffic volume. You might want to call ahead if travelling during this period.

Stanley (Nashwaak)

Colonized in 1833 when a group of London merchants became interested in the area, the village of Stanley (now part of the Nashwaak Rural Community) is deeply rooted in forestry, agricultural and fishing history, and many of the homes here are more than a century old, and are still occupied by descendents of the original families who built them. Outdoor pursuits abound here; the crisp, white days of winter make skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing common leisure activities. With the warming sunshine of spring, try canoeing on the beautiful Nashwaak River.
