Hampton Marsh

This is one of the largest and most diverse areas of the St. John River flood plain. Located within a maze of oxbows, tributaries and backwaters of the Kennebecasis River, it is a haven for migrating and breeding waterfowl, other marsh birds, songbirds and birds of prey. In addition to being a prime location for birding, the marsh also offers excellent opportunity for photography, recreational boating, canoeing and kayaking. The Dutch Point Park Trail System along with the Trans Canada Trail system provide lookout sites and interpretation areas.

City of Fredericton Trails

The Fredericton trail system has more than 120 km (75 mi.) of non-motorized, multi-use trails on both sides of the Saint John River, joined by the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge. More than 21 km (13 mi.) of the trails are paved, all are accessible to pedestrians, cyclists, and wheelchairs. There are 10 major trails, varying in length, some going thru City parks and UNB. This gateway to the Acadian Peninsula is home to a colourful Acadian lighthouse and boasts fabulous beaches. Take your kayak to the beach and paddle along the shoreline -- a great number of bird species are in the area, so watch for a sighting while enjoying the peaceful sound of the waves as they sweep in to shore.

Oromocto Marina

Full-service marina in a peaceful, secluded and safe environment that can accommodate over 100 boats of varying sizes with 3800 feet of docking facilities. Fuel and pumping stations on site. The marina is also adjacent to a beautiful park, trails, restaurants and stores.

Napier House

Nestled amidst lush gardens, the historic Napier House offers four rooms and a two-bedroom apartment for rent daily or weekly. The decor is in keeping with the age and style of the house (built circa 1915) but with all modern amenities.

Evandale Resort & Marina

The Evandale Resort is the last of the River Boat Hotels, built in 1889. It's nestled along the river banks of the Saint John River next to Evandale Ferry, located south of the Village of Gagetown. The River Boat Hotel was built to accommodate the passengers travelling the Saint John River on steam boats. Pioneer Village of Grande-Digue

This pioneers museum is a 6-building miniature village including a house from 1842, a replica of a chapel, a school (1870) featuring original benches and blackboards, a barn, a shed and a lighthouse. A 1835 church is located nearby. The museum features over 3,000 artifacts, including a mural painting of the Grande-Digue marsh in the 1800s. Wide open space, large parking lot, rest area, picnic tables, tourist bureau, WiFi and souvenir shops on site. Wheelchair accessible.

Cottages Colibri

Cabins at the Colibri Campground. Can accommodate up to 6 people, with a queen bed, two bunk beds and a double sofa bed. To add to your comfort, you will find a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower and a small terrace with a BBQ. Outside, it’s as if you’re camping with the woods and the campfire to roast your marshmallows or s'mores.

Stanley (Nashwaak)

Colonized in 1833 when a group of London merchants became interested in the area, the village of Stanley (now part of the Nashwaak Rural Community) is deeply rooted in forestry, agricultural and fishing history, and many of the homes here are more than a century old, and are still occupied by descendents of the original families who built them. Outdoor pursuits abound here; the crisp, white days of winter make skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing common leisure activities. With the warming sunshine of spring, try canoeing on the beautiful Nashwaak River.
