Adam Constantine, kayaker

ADAM

What's your name, location and occupation?

Adam Constantine, sea kayaker, guide and proud firefighter from Saint John, New Brunswick

What's your favourite place to visit in the province, and why?

The Bay of Fundy. The Bay will forever remain my favourite place to explore as it is always changing with our huge tides. Every time I go back there, the tides have moved the beaches around and with the raising and lowering of the tides you can always see something new. I never tire of this place!

What's something about New Brunswick that you wish the rest of the country knew about?

I’d like to tell people who say they drive through our province to slow down, stop and check out all the amazing places we have here in New Brunswick.

What's your favourite "made in New Brunswick" food/drink?

Definitely Mrs. Dunsters Donuts! Made in Sussex NB, they have been a staple sweet treat for me for years.

Is there a part of the province you haven't been to yet, that you'd like to visit? Tell us why!

Schoolhouse Brook along the Fundy Footpath. Dark skies with endless photography potential. The large beach offers a variety of options for kayak camping. Leaving from Point Wolfe in Fundy National Park and exploring the rugged coastline until arriving at this one beach that leaves you feeling in the middle of nowhere! With images of the Milky Way, sunrises and sunsets it would be hard for any photographer not to get excited.

Peter Lavigne, kayaker

PETER

What's your name, location and occupation?

Peter Lavigne, sea kayaker, guide, and firefighter from Saint John (born and raised!)

What's your favourite place to visit in the province, and why?

First, Deer Island in the Fundy West Isles, as I simply love being only a few steps away from the Bay of Fundy. You get to slow down and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean. Secondly, I’d say Miramichi and Bathurst as I spent much of my youth visiting my parents’ home towns. The weather and seafood is great as well!

What's something about New Brunswick that you wish the rest of the country knew about?

We have everything anyone would want. The warmest beaches, rich history, great places to explore and the nicest people bar none.

What's your favourite "made in New Brunswick" food/drink? Anything from Baxter Dairies!

As a kid, I went to school right behind Baxter and many of the employees would give us chocolate milk and ice cream!

Is there a part of the province you haven't been to yet, that you'd like to visit? Tell us why!

Definitely Mount Carleton Provincial Park. We have our campsite booked and I’m looking forward to exploring, hiking, paddling and taking photos. I’ve heard the natural beauty is simply amazing and has to be experienced.
