Poterie Monique Duclos Pottery

The passion and inspiration that arose in Monique Duclos from the first time she worked with clay can be seen within the walls of her charming studio.Functional and decorative stoneware pottery can be found in this lovely studio. You can watch, step-by-step, how her pottery is made. Monique has been commissioned by the Province of New Brunswick to create their official Collection with the provincial flower, the purple violet. Many other designs can be found in the little boutique in her studio.

Richibucto River Museum

For many years, the Richibucto River Historical Society has been a collector of great amounts of local history and artefacts. The idea of the historical society is said to have spawned from a school reunion of former teachers. They decided to document some of Rexton’s early history, which in turn initiated the writing of “The History of Old Kingston” by Edward L. Gallagher.

Sackville Arts Walk

The Sackville Arts Walk is a map-guided walking tour of cultural highlights in downtown Sackville. Featuring artists and artworks, sculpture and paintings, stained glass and architecture, visits to craft and art galleries as well as buildings of unique architectural design.

Shediac Bay Yacht Club

Located in South-eastern NB on the Northumberland Strait, Shediac Bay Yacht Club is considered as one of the largest boating facility East of Quebec and provides full marina services to accommodate boats up to 55 feet (sail and power). Services include electrical (15/30 amp), laundry facility, pump-out station, wireless Internet, showers, washrooms and 7.5 ton fixed crane facility. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the amenities of the downtown area. Each Summer, the Yacht Club also operates a Sailing School that is recognized on a regional and national level.

St. David’s Presbyterian Church

PROVINCIAL HERITAGE PLACE Presbyterians were among the earliest immigrants to come to North America. They settled up and down the East Coast and began moving westward into the wilderness, founding congregations along the way, as early as the 1630s. They were one of the Protestant denominations that ruled colonial life. Members of the early church were mainly Scottish, Irish and English settlers. They helped shape society and encouraged educational, missionary, evangelical and reforming work.

St. Michael's Museum and Genealogical Centre

PROVINCIAL HERITAGE PLACE This building, constructed in 1846, marks the beginning of St. Michael's Parish of Chatham. From here the administration of the entire Roman Catholic diocese in northern New Brunswick took place. First Episcopal residence in 1860 and first Hôtel-Dieu hospital in 1869. Today it is a genealogical research centre and Catholic religious supply shop.

Originally the first Methodist Church in the area, this building later became Tabusintac’s first high school and New Brunswick's second rural high school. Woodstock Heritage Walking Tour

The Woodstock Victorian Heritage Walking Tour showcases the history of New Brunswick's first town, from the time of incorporation in 1856. This self-guided tour begins at the L. P. Fisher Public Library and finishes at the Honourable Charles Connell House. There are 40 properties in the tour, including the exterior of Victorian homes and civic buildings on the downtown residential streets. Pick up your free copy of the tour guide at the L. P. Woodstock Valley Yacht Club

The Woodstock Valley Yacht Club at the Woodstock marina is located on the Saint John River. The marina consists of 35 berths. Visiting boaters are welcome. Easy access to downtown. Power, water, gas and pump out station are available.

In his time, Charles Connell was a businessman and politician but his place in history endures as the central figure in the fascinating saga of the 1860 “Connell Stamp.” Guided tours available.
