Quaco Head Lighthouse

Every lighthouse you see has a special attraction all its own and the Quaco Head Lighthouse is no exception. It stands on a scenic point with an excellent view of St. Martins' beach and the Fundy Trail coastline. This 1855 tower was replaced in 1966 and altered a decade later with a concrete structure. It's the perfect spot for a picnic and birdwatching. The Quaco Museum has several lighthouse artifacts, including the Fresnel lens from the old structure. Driving directions: Route 111 to St. Martins, West Quaco Road, turn left on Lighthouse Road.

Rusagonis River No. 2 Covered Bridge (Owens, Patrick)

Built in 1909, this covered bridge is 72 m (236 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 2, Exit 297, Nevers Road South 2.5 km (1.5 mi.), Route 655 West 5.3 km (3.3 mi.), turn left onto Wilsey Road.

North Becaguimec River No. 4 Covered Bridge (Ellis)

Built in 1909, this covered bridge is 18 m (60 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 2, Exit 172, Route 130 East 5.5 km (3.4 mi.), turn right on Route 104, 13.6 km (8.4 mi.), turn left on Howard Brook Road, onto Ellis Road, at Lower Windsor, near Hartland.

Kouchibouguacis River No. 5 Covered Bridge (Camerons Mill)

Built in 1950, this covered bridge is 42 m (136 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 11, Exit 69, Saint-Ignace Road West 12.7 km (7.9 mi.), Camerons Mill Cross Road, at Camerons Mill, near Saint-Ignace.

Cocagne River No. 5 Covered Bridge (Budd)

Built in 1913, this covered bridge is 25 m (83 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 2, Exit 450, Route 126 North 6.2 km (3.8 mi.), Indian Mountain Road 7.4 km (4.6 mi.), Victoria Road 5.7 km (3.5 mi.), near Moncton.

Long Eddy Point Lighthouse ("The Whistle")

This is one of the best places on Grand Manan to view whales, porpoises and seabirds as they feed in the rip tides below the cliffs. Bald eagles are also common in the area. Periwinkles and dulse are picked along the shores below the lighthouse, and visitors can watch lobster, scallop and herring fishing depending on the season.This lighthouse, known locally as "The Whistle," was originally established in 1873. The current square concrete building and tower was constructed in 1971.

Deer Island - Campobello Island Ferry

Privately operated, toll ferries run between Deer Island and Campobello Island. Sail beautiful Passamaquoddy Bay, a unique corner of the Bay of Fundy. Join us for a day trip around the Quoddy Loop. Our service is the link that makes the loop complete. "The Old Sow," the largest tidal whirlpool in North America, can be seen from Deer Island Point Park, near our ferry landing. After Labour Day our schedule depends on weather and traffic volume. You might want to call ahead if travelling during this period.

Forty Five River No. 1 Covered Bridge

Built in 1914, this covered bridge is 29 m (94 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 211, Route 114 South for 45.6 km (28.3 mi.), onto Forty-Five Road, in Fundy National Park.

Grand Manan Island - White Head Island Ferry

White Head Island is accessible several times a day from Grand Manan Island at Ingalls Head via the MV William Frankland Ferry. The crossing (approximately 20 minutes) is free of charge. The ferry carries 45 passengers and 9 cars. White Head Island is a quiet fishing community of approximately 180 residents, mainly fishermen and their families. The 6-km (4-mi.) road goes around two-thirds of the island. A lighthouse, a sandy beach and a rocky coast can be found on the "back" of the island. This is an excellent location for birdwatching, hiking, biking and touring.

Drummond (Grand Falls)

The small, quiet village of Drummond, bordered by the Saint John River, Salmon River and Little River, is home to a proud francophone community living in a beautiful rural setting where potato farming is the main industry. The village is a short distance from the phenomenal Grand Falls Gorge, carved by the Saint John River and boasting walls up to 70 m (230 ft. high). Enjoy a leisurely canoe ride on the Salmon River and marvel at the scenery, rich with the colours of this agricultural land.

Kennebecasis River No. 23 Covered Bridge (Malone)

Built in 1911, this covered bridge is 18 m (58 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 211, Route 114 South 5.8 km(3.6 mi.), Goshen Road 7.2 km (4.4 mi.)

Kennebecasis River No. 9 Covered Bridge (Plumweseep)

Bridge built in 1911 located near Sussex in Plumweseep, which means “Salmon River” in Wolastoqey (Maliseet) language. Length: 22.5m (74') Directions: Route 1, Exit 198, Route 114 north for 1.5 km (0.9 mi.). Turn left on to Plumweseep Road.

Port Elgin Footbridge

Built in 1968, this footbridge is 46 m (151 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 2, Exit 513A-B, Route 16, Exit 25, Route 970, onto Shemogue Road.

Smith Creek No. 5 Covered Bridge (Oldfields)

Built in 1910, this covered bridge is 28 m (92 ft.) in length. In 1992, this bridge was pictured on the first 25 cent coin featured in a series to mark the 125th anniversary of Confederation! Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 195, Route 890 North 12.8 km (7.9 mi.), onto Oldfield Road.

Deer Island

Experience Island Life! This is the first stop on your tour of the Fundy Isles. Drive aboard the ferry at Letete, near St. George, for a trip to Deer Island, where the incredible tidal current of the Bay of Fundy creates unlimited adventure. While on the island be sure to visit Deer Island Point Park and Eagle Shadow Hiking Trail at Chocolate Cove for breathtaking views and some lovely spots to have a picnic.
