Grand Bay-Westfield

Located in southwestern New Brunswick along the beautiful Saint John River, you will find the town of Grand Bay-Westfield, the result of the two, originally separate, villages being officially merged in 1998. A growing community, Grand Bay-Westfield is the gateway to the Lower St. John River Valley. The town also has a ferry landing at the end of Ferry Road where the cable ferry connects Grand Bay-Westfield with the community of Hardings Point, across the river on the Kingston Peninsula. A campground and public beach can be found in these locations, near the ferry landings.

Grand Falls Regional Municipality

Grand Falls is renowned as one of New Brunswick's top attraction with its natural wonder, the famous seasonal falls and captivating gorge. Hartland

The Saint John River has been the lifeline of this town since it was established in the early 1800s. Once an important trade route for French, English and Aboriginal traders, the river today is known for leisure pursuits including fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and pleasure boating. Along its banks are roads that follow the river to neighbouring towns, with spectacular views year round. The Upper St. John River Valley Trail (part of the Trans-Canada Trail) runs through town and is used by cyclists, hikers, ATVs and snowmobiles.

Lamèque

Take a leisurely drive to this scenic Acadian island. Situated off the coast of northeastern New Brunswick, Lamèque separates the waters of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence and Chaleur Bay. With the wealth of quiet, sandy beaches here, you'll have no shortage of options to find the perfect spot to soak up some sun! Destination Nackawic

Nackawic is a young community with deep historic roots. Carved out of the land where the Nackawic Stream meets the Saint John River, this area has ties to the Loyalists who first farmed the land centuries ago. Many of their original homes can be seen today at Kings Landing, a bustling living-history village. The town of Nackawic was created in the late 60s out of necessity. Riverview

The town of Riverview, located on the south bank of the Petitcodiac River, welcomes visitors of all ages. Stop by the Fundy Chocolate River Station, located in the heart of Riverview. It's a fully accessible building with shops, public washroom facilities, Internet access, and brochures and maps to help guide your travel in the region. As the centre is situated along the Riverfront Trail, you can step out onto the boardwalk for a run, walk, or bike ride or work out at the outdoor Green Gym.

Weldon Creek No. 3 Covered Bridge (Steeves, Hartley)

Built in 1923, this covered bridge is 18 m (60 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 2, Exit 446, Route 128 East 6.6 km (4 mi.), Exit 3, Route 15 South - Wheeler Boulevard - 3 km (1.8 mi.), Route 114 South 24 km (14.9 mi.), Route 910 West 4 km (2.4 mi.), near Hillsborough.

Wilmot Park

Directly across the street from Government House is Wilmot Park. Beautifully landscaped, the park boasts immaculate lawns, walking trails, lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, lawn bowling, a bandstand, a children’s playground, a new outdoor aquatic facility (anticipated opening late summer 2016), and is a perfect spot for a picnic. The title deed of this 4.9-ha (12-acre) park was originally given to City Council in 1895, by an early Loyalist settler, Edward Wilmot, as a gift for "the commonality of Fredericton."

Wilson's Point Historic Site

Located within Enclosure Park in the community of Derby, Wilson’s Point is the final tip of land at the confluence of the Northwest and Southwest Miramichi rivers. It is the site of the first English Settlement along the Miramichi River, with an interpretive centre housed in the replica of the 1790 church, a trading post, a historic 240-year-old graveyard, and walking trails. It is now cared for by the Miramichi Scottish Heritage Association. Visitors are welcome to tour the buildings and enjoy the beautiful grounds.
