The Cape Enrage Fossil Beach is more than 7 km (4 mi.) long. It traces its way along the base of the 46-m (150-ft.) cliffs of Barn Marsh Island. It runs from the sandy shores of Barn Marsh Beach, which is just off Cape Enrage road, around the lighthouse point, across the ocean floor and out to Brae Beach, an ancient Acadian dyke. You can spend hours walking this tidal beach, hunting for fossils in the rock shale of this rough terrain. Make sure to check the tide table before venturing too far, and plan to be off the beach two hours before high tide.

Onsite is the Mulholland Lighthouse (built in 1885 to guide boats and ships through the Lubec Channel), a short walking path, and several picnic tables. The site offers excellent views of the quaint town of Lubec, Maine, its harbour, and grey seals as they congregate in the Lubec Narrows.

Located in the picturesque fishing village of Blacks Harbour near the Grand Manan Island ferry, Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point is a beautiful example of the diversity and ecological significance linked to the world-famous Bay of Fundy tides. Explore the natural and geological features found in the preserve and along the 2 km (1.2 mi) stretch of coastline. Feel free to cross to the Pea Point Lighthouse (first lit in 1878) on Pea Island during low tide, but keep your eye on the tides to avoid getting stuck!

Dobson Trail (Riverview to Alma)

The Dobson Trail is a footpath that starts on Pine Glen Road in the town of Riverview and continues through the Albert County Caledonia Highlands to the eastern boundary of Fundy National Park. The first 2 km (1.25 mi.) of the trail bed are maintained to Park standards and are wheelchair accessible. The initial section also has a guide wire for the visually challenged. The remaining section is maintained to Appalachian Trail Standards. The trail can be hiked in 3 days and is used in all seasons by hikers, snowshoers and backcountry skiers.
