Place Fort La Tour

Opening for the season in June 2024, Place Fort La Tour, located on Harbour Passage on the Bay of Fundy, commemorates 5700+ years of ceremonial, trade and industrial activity in this special place. The site of treachery, intrigue, and a memorable battle in early Acadian times, Place Fort La Tour’s structures and experiences are evocative of these stories and a current day meeting place, much as it has always been.

St. Martins Sea Caves

A popular place for rockhounds, birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.The sandstone caves are carved by the Bay of Fundy tides. Curious spelunkers can explore the caves at their leisure, at low tide only.

Clark Gregory Nature Preserve

If you're looking for a hiking challenge and breathtaking Bay of Fundy views, make your way to the Clark Gregory Nature Preserve on Deer Island, which can be accessed by way of the free ferry from L'Etete, near the Town of St. George. The Clark Gregory Nature Preserve has two parcels of land at Chocolate Cove area of the island—the northern and southern headlands. The northern headland trail offers trail systems that take you through diverse forest and the southern headland trail offers views of the active fishing wharf in Chocolate Cove and provides a perfect spot for a picnic.

Pagan Point Nature Preserve

The Pagan Point Nature Preserve is a 12 ha (30 acre) piece of land found within the Town of Saint Andrews on Passamaquoddy Bay. It has been designated a provincial archaeological site, as the preserve contains one of the largest, deepest, and least disturbed ‘shell middens' in New Brunswick.

Tidal Bore

Caused by the Bay of Fundy tides, the Tidal Bore occurs twice daily. Watch the water in the Petitcodiac River roll back upstream in one wave that can go up to 60 cm in height! Estimated Tidal Bore times online and at the Visitor Information Centre beside Bore Park, downtown Moncton. Please note: Many factors may affect the time of the Bore by 15 to 20 minutes before or after the scheduled arrival time. Arrive early!

Old Sow Whirlpool

The largest tidal whirlpool in the western hemisphere peaks during the new- and full-moon phases. Can be seen three hours prior to high tide from Deer Island Point Park. Enjoy the toll-free ferry ride over to Deer Island and experience a little taste of the Bay of Fundy on your way when you view the Old Sow! Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 56, onto Route 172 to Letete. Take the toll-free ferry to Deer Island onto Route 772.

Dorchester (Tantramar)

The village of Dorchester is located between Memramcook and Sackville, in the Memramcook valley, and overlooks Shepody Bay and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, being part of the Fundy UNESCO biosphere. The World's Largest Sandpiper stands in the Village Square, carved from a single log. Nearby are the village's two museums, the Keillor House and St. James Presbyterian Church, and The Bell Inn. Built in 1811, the inn is the oldest stone structure in New Brunswick.

Point Wolfe Covered Bridge

Built in 1992, this covered bridge is 29 m (94 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 211, Route 114 South for 41.5 km (25.7 mi.), onto Point Wolfe Road in Fundy National Park.

With fields throughout Charlotte County, the Tuddenhams offer the highest quality fresh, hand-cleaned and graded fresh and frozen blueberries. A variety of blueberry products are also available, including wine, jam, juice, syrup and freshly baked and frozen home-style blueberry pies. Tuddenham's blueberries and blueberry products are available for sale from late June through late October at their roadside farm-fresh produce stand and wine retail outlet in Oak Bay.

Hardscrabble No. 2 Covered Bridge (Irish River No. 2)

Built in 1946, this covered bridge is 22 m (72 ft.) in length and features an attached covered walkway. It is located in the picturesque village of St. Martins, on the Bay of Fundy, near the 2-lane Vaughan Creek Covered Bridge.
