The beautiful private beach is only steps away. Kayaking, hiking, fishing, picnics at the lighthouse are just a few things you can enjoy while staying here.

Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point

Get close to the Fundy tides near the Grand Manan FerryLocated in the picturesque fishing village of Blacks Harbour, Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point is a beautiful example of the diversity and ecological significance linked to the world-famous Bay of Fundy tides. Explore the natural and geological features found in the preserve and along the 2 km (1.2 mi) stretch of coastline.Feel free to cross to the Pea Point Lighthouse (first lit in 1878) on Pea Island during low tide, but keep your eye on the tides to avoid getting stuck!

Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska (Vallée-des-Rivières)

Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska is a picturesque village nestled in the slopes of the Appalachians. From east or west, the enormous and magnificent Sainte-Anne church can be spotted far away on the horizon. Built in 1923, it can accommodate more than 1,000 people at a time. Discover Madawaska's flora and fauna by visiting the region's experimental forest. It mainly serves as a field site for the students and researchers from the faculty of forestry at the Edmundston campus of the Université de Moncton, but it is also open to the public.

Salisbury

Nestled along the Petitcodiac River in southeast New Brunswick, Salisbury is only 25 km (16 mi.) from the city of Moncton and was first incorporated in 1947, and later incorporated as a village in 1966. Although there have been changes since the days when the 18th-century Yorkshire settlers first took up land here, the river and forests surrounding Salisbury still grace the horizon, much as they did in the early days. A significant amount of dairy farming and lumbering activity continues in the area today, as it has since the early 1900's.

Saint-Hilaire (Haut-Madawaska)

Founded in 1869, Saint-Hilaire is one of the oldest parishes in the “Acadia of the Land and Forests” region. The village was named after Hilaire Cyr, who had donated the land to build the first Catholic church. The Saint-Hilaire rectory, beside the church, is now home to an art gallery. Saint-Hilaire and the surrounding area is a fertile ground for many great stories. Did you know that during the prohibition, Saint-Hilaire was one of the top places for smuggling alcohol? There transited the famous "Hand Brand", a strong liquor from the French islands of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

Located in southwestern New Brunswick along the beautiful Saint John River, you will find the town of Grand Bay-Westfield, the result of the two, originally separate, villages being officially merged in 1998. A growing community, Grand Bay-Westfield is the gateway to the Lower St. John River Valley. The town also has a ferry landing at the end of Ferry Road where the cable ferry connects Grand Bay-Westfield with the community of Hardings Point, across the river on the Kingston Peninsula. A campground and public beach can be found in these locations, near the ferry landings.
