Tantramar Trail (Sackville to Port Elgin)

This former railbed, part of the Trans-Canada Trail system, links Sackville with the village of Port Elgin. The trail begins at a dyked wetland behind Tantramar Regional High School, then skirts the Tantramar Marsh. After crossing several working farms near Midgic, the trail then passes through an isolated stretch of boreal forest, before emerging at Route 16 near the community of Baie Verte.

The Colonel's In Bed & Breakfast

An Experience of Intimacy Biking along the riverside trail, the early-morning mist is lifting. Across the river you can see the domed rotunda of the New Brunswick Legislature and the spire of Christ Church Cathedral. Pedalling up a slight grade, you give the two runners coming toward you lots of room. When they pass, they smile and say good morning. From the walking bridge that leads across the river to downtown, you see two kayaks gracefully slicing the water. Far above, an eagle soars.

The Station House is a member-owned and operated craft and antique shop celebrating local artisans. Located adjacent to Fen's Irving in Harvey, directly on Route 3, it offers one-of-a-kind creations with gas, food, and washrooms only steps away. We're open daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., year round, with extended holiday hours on Fridays in December. Woodwork, wool, jewelry, pottery, bath products and more, the Kubbyhole is the perfect place for a unique gift or accessory.

New Brunswick Botanical Garden

The Old (Loyalist) Burial Grounds

This area was set aside as a public ground in the original town plan (1783). In April 1848, it was closed to further burials by an Act of the Provincial Legislature. The grounds were restored by the Irving family in 1995 in memory of the late K. C. Irving (1899-1992), founder of the Irving empire of companies. Granite paver pathways, historic style lamps and a unique beaver fountain were added to revitalize this graveyard.

The Oppenheimer-Prager Museum at Dayspring

More than 300 paintings by Joseph Oppenheimer, German Impressionist and his daughter Eva Prager, O.C., Canadian artist. You will find portraits of famous people, other portraits and landscapes, seascapes, flower paintings, etc. plus various interesting objects, documents, toys and even unique classic cars, including Lady Beaverbrook's original 1955 Land Rover with only 13,000 miles. All this is housed in the Beaverbrook-Dunn Mansion, the largest in St. Andrews

The Pump House Brewery

The Village of Gagetown Farmers Market is a small, waterfront, open air market operating seasonally on Sundays from 11am to 3pm. It provides locals and visitors a mixture of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and baking, preserves and herbs, hot BBQ, local art, handmade jewelery, soaps, and more! And all within walking distance of the marina, shops, and restaurants.

Water Street Farmers Market

The Water Street Farmers Market, located in the former town of Chatham (now part of the city of Miramichi), is known for its warmth and hospitality. Open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm year round (except Jan-Feb), it features quality handcrafted wares—knitting, crochet, woodworking, pottery, handmade soaps, needlepoint, fine stitchery and quilts. Food vendors offer home-cooked breakfasts, baked goods and specialty desserts, canned and pickled fruit and vegetables, meats, produce and bedding plants.

The World's Largest Lobster

Shediac is recognized the world over as "The Lobster Capital of the World" for its lobster fishing industry. For that reason, in 1989 the Shediac Rotary Club thought it fitting to erect a monument in tribute of the delectable crustacean and promote its role in the development of our community. The late Winston Bronnum from Penobquis, New Brunswick, was commissioned to create this magnificent showpiece. The monument stands at 11 m (35 ft.) in length, 5 m (16 ft.) in width and 5 m (16 ft.) in height.

Third Space Gallery

Galerie Tiers-espace / Third Space Gallery is the only artist-run centre in Saint John. Unlike a traditional gallery, it is not confined to one exhibition space, but chooses to work with the city's wider community for both the production and presentation of contemporary art. Interdisciplinary in practice, the gallery works with local, regional and national professional artists to raise the understanding and appreciation of contemporary art through exploratory, challenging and critical projects.

Tidal Bore

Caused by the Bay of Fundy tides, the Tidal Bore occurs twice daily. Watch the water in the Petitcodiac River roll back upstream in one wave that can go up to 60 cm in height! Estimated Tidal Bore times online and at the Visitor Information Centre beside Bore Park, downtown Moncton. Please note: Many factors may affect the time of the Bore by 15 to 20 minutes before or after the scheduled arrival time. Arrive early!
