Hampton Marsh

This is one of the largest and most diverse areas of the St. John River flood plain. Located within a maze of oxbows, tributaries and backwaters of the Kennebecasis River, it is a haven for migrating and breeding waterfowl, other marsh birds, songbirds and birds of prey. In addition to being a prime location for birding, the marsh also offers excellent opportunity for photography, recreational boating, canoeing and kayaking. The Dutch Point Park Trail System along with the Trans Canada Trail system provide lookout sites and interpretation areas.

Stop at the Hampton Visitor Information Centre, located in the old Railway Station, to receive information about this region of the province, such as: • Travel assistance and itinerary planning • Information about events, attractions and festivals It is also home to the Railway Heritage Site, where visitors can view railway artifacts and peruse information on display. You'll also find a gift shop featuring the work of local artisans.

Family campground in a country setting, located directly on the waterfront overlooking the Saint John River. Sandy beaches and a heated pool. Located just steps from the cable ferry (free of charge) between the tip of Kingston Peninsula and Gondola Point.

Hardscrabble No. 2 Covered Bridge (Irish River No. 2)

Built in 1946, this covered bridge is 22 m (72 ft.) in length. Driving directions: Route 1, Exit 137A-B, Route 111 East 39.2 km (24.3 mi.) to St. Martins, onto Main Street.

Haunted Hike

Join the Calithumpians troupe -- a group of actors in period costume -- for a performance-based ghost tour where you'll meet ghosts and spirits. This night-time adventure will give you spine-tingling frights and rib-tickling laughs. Wander Fredericton's historic and picturesque downtown as you find out more about its haunted past. This adventure will give you chills and you'll leave with the sense of actually having been in Fredericton's murky past.

Head Harbour Lightstation (East Quoddy Head Lightstation)

If you want to visit the second-oldest lighthouse in the province, you'll have to wait for low tide. Head Harbour Island is accessible only by foot, so check the tidal schedule before setting out! The lighthouse was built in 1829 as a means of helping ships in the area navigate the famous Bay of Fundy fog, high tides, and the treacherous rocks surrounding Campobello Island. The original octagonal, wooden tower is still in use, and although the light still shines into the bay, it is no longer staffed.

If you like pottery you owe it to yourself to visit Helen Stanley's studio in Seeleys Cove. Watch the potter at work or spend your time perusing the offerings in the gallery. We can talk about techniques, colour, or find a solution to a gift problem. The artist enjoys commissions and likes to encourage a partnership in the creative process. Herring Cove Provincial Park

Hillsborough Golf Club

One of New Brunswick's most scenic courses, Hillsborough Golf Club, was cut completely from the forest, resulting in a challenging but private round, as other players are not often visible. Built alongside a natural gypsum deposit, the course features a landscape of protruding white rock, elevated views and undulating fairways.
