Anderson Hollow Lighthouse

This original lighthouse (Est. 1889) with its wooden, salt-shaker tower is a historic landmark. Originally located on Anderson Hollow wharf at Waterside, it has been relocated four times. Campobello Oceanfront Cottages are located 2 km (1 mi.) south of beautiful East Quoddy Head Lighthouse, New Brunswick's most photographed lighthouse. All three cottages are secluded and private, nestled in the woods on a cliff overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay, where one can often see whales, porpoises, seals, osprey and eagles in front of the cottages. Each cottage has a deck for sunbathing and alfresco dining. The Sea Urchin has a screened-in tree house and its own private sandy beach where you can search for sea glass. The Whale of a View is slightly larger and has a breathtaking view.

The footpath is a challenging wilderness trail that starts at the Fundy Trail suspension footbridge at Big Salmon River, near St. Martins, and hugs the coastline to Fundy National Park, near Alma. The eastern and western sections of the Fundy Footpath form a continuous trail from beginning to end. The rugged Fundy terrain leads up and down from an elevation of 0 to 300 m (984 ft.) across a dozen ravines and 2 tidal rivers that can only be crossed during low tide.
