Daly Point Nature Reserve

Daly Point Nature Reserve, located just northeast of the Bathurst Harbour on Carron Drive, is a naturalist's dream and birdwatcher paradise. It boasts some 100 acres (40.5 hectares) of pristine salt marsh, wooded plots and an extensive network of trails leading visitors through fields and various forest stands. One can view hundreds of species of flowers, plants and animals. Special attractions include the thousands of Canada Geese who arrive on their migratory voyage in the fall, and the rare Maritime Ringlet Butterfly found only in ten saltmarshes in the world.

Pointe-du-Chêne Range (Front and Rear Ranges)

These original, wooden salt-shaker towers, which are still active, were built as a pair in 1895, and were designed to work as a team; one as a front range, the other a rear range. Located within the boundaries of Parlee Beach Provincial Park, they are also in a private cottage zone. These landmarks are somewhat famous, having appeared in countless of tourism brochures depicting the beauty of our province! Sackville to Cape Tormentine Trail - Trans-Canada Trail

This trail is built on an abandoned railway and is locally known in Sackville as the Tantramar Trail. It runs through old Acadian dyke lands, young lush woodlands and inland freshwater swamps to the scenic salt marshes in Port Elgin on Baie Verte.
