#ExploreNB Street Team Summer Highlights

We had an incredible time exploring New Brunswick during the summer of 2023. From beaches and parks, to festivals and events, and local shops, we discovered so many unique spots around our province. These are our highlights!

Catherine - New experiences and moments in time

I had an incredible summer with the #ExploreNB Street Team, and got to try so many new things from go-karting to experiencing the beautiful installation of Akadi Lumina in Bouctouche with Maddy. One of my top favourite moments was watching The Stanfields and Raglan Road perform at Miramichi’s Irish Festival. The band played one of my favourite songs – Zombie by the Cranberries! I’ll never forget all the encouragement we received from visitors and industry partners, and meeting so many people who were so interested in getting to see New Brunswick in the best way possible.

Kamylle - Hidden gems and a lot of ‘firsts’

The whole summer was a great experience, and I learned so much about my home province! I had so many adventures, formed new friendships, and met people from around the world that think our province is magnificent. I loved visiting familiar favourites like Kings Landing, but I also tried many things for the first time - including ziplining, horseback riding, seeing my first concert and eating clams. It was a summer to remember, and I was proud to encourage people to #ExploreNB!

Katie - Treetops and sandy beaches

I had so much fun at Timbertop Adventures with Becca at the beginning of July– it was my favourite experience of the summer! The obstacle courses in the trees are such a unique activity. We loved supporting this local business. New Brunswick has so much shoreline and I really enjoyed visiting our waterfront towns and beaches! St. Martins, Saint Andrews, Campbellton, Parlee Beach and New River Beach were all so memorable and beautiful.

Riley - Celebrating in Beautiful Bathurst

One of my top highlights was going to Hospitality Days in Bathurst! I love the area I think it’s so beautiful. When we were set up at the buskers event, the volunteers and performers were so helpful (we were having trouble with our tent in the wind). The crowd loved watching the performers in the middle of the street - it was a great atmosphere!

Madison - Tall peaks and summer heat

My top highlight was climbing Mount Carleton on one of the hottest days of the summer! Riley and I had such a great time. The views on top are out of this world – it’s the highest point in the Maritimes!

Becca - Celebrating with thousands of people

My highlight of the summer was definitely the #ExploreNB Fan Fest at the Guns N’ Roses concert at Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium! There were games, performances, vendors, food and such a great energy! It was amazing to see so many people out.

Nathan - Experiencing joy through the rest of the team

It was an excellent summer as a whole, but my favourite thing was watching the #ExploreNB Street Team enjoy and explore our province. Getting to see them in action and hear their stories really lit up my summer! I would like to thank the team and everyone we had a chance to meet! It was truly such a great experience. Stay tuned and follow along as we hit up even more fall and winter events!
