What's your name and location?

My name is Kaitlyn Pendleton, I was raised on Deer Island where I'm still living today.

What's your favourite place to visit in the province, and why?

My favourite places to visit are a toss up between uptown Saint John to stop at a café (my go-to is The Art Warehouse), take myself out for lunch and walk through the City Market. As much as I love the peacefulness of Deer Island sometimes its refreshing to be surrounded by a little more noise. Also sailing the skiff over to Campobello Island for lunch at the Pier restaurant to sit on the patio and enjoy dinner right next to the ocean. It's not uncommon to see whales and porpoise swim by as you're eating.

What's something about New Brunswick that you wish the rest of the country knew about?

Deer Island! It's a hidden gem filled with such unique beauty I think often gets overlooked.

What's your favourite "made in New Brunswick" food/drink?

Granite Town Farms wild blueberries, from St. George. The blueberries remind me of making pies and blueberry cake with my mom as a kid using my grandmother’s recipes.

Is there a part of the province you haven't been to yet, that you'd like to visit? Tell us why!

I would love to visit Parlee Beach. The ocean where I live is perfect to jump into if you're looking for an adrenaline rush but I'd love to experience Canadas warmest salt water at Parlee Beach Provincial Park.
