Trails are built on a former gypsum mine, so you can definitely expect to see some white rocks on and around the trails! For mountain bikers, White Rock Recreational Area has both some challenging trails and lots of different terrain. Many of the Green trails are multi-purpose or shared trails so there’s lots to explore, while intermediate and expert trails provide an excellent challenge to more experienced riders.

Owned by Acadian Artisan Marcia Poirier close to 20 years, she transforms the unremarkable shell of the Quahog clam into miniature works of wearable art and creations that have earned her well-deserved recognition. Each piece is a uniquely handcrafted work of art. Visitors can watch the creative process unfold and speak with the artist.

Wilmot Park

Directly across the street from Government House is Wilmot Park. Beautifully landscaped, the park boasts immaculate lawns, walking trails, lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, lawn bowling, a bandstand, a children’s playground, a new outdoor aquatic facility (anticipated opening late summer 2016), and is a perfect spot for a picnic. The title deed of this 4.9-ha (12-acre) park was originally given to City Council in 1895, by an early Loyalist settler, Edward Wilmot, as a gift for "the commonality of Fredericton."

Wilson's Point Historic Site

Located within Enclosure Park in the community of Derby, Wilson’s Point is the final tip of land at the confluence of the Northwest and Southwest Miramichi rivers. It is the site of the first English Settlement along the Miramichi River, with an interpretive centre housed in the replica of the 1790 church, a trading post, a historic 240-year-old graveyard, and walking trails. It is now cared for by the Miramichi Scottish Heritage Association. Visitors are welcome to tour the buildings and enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Wolastoq Park

Wolastoq means "the beautiful river," in the language of the Maliseet people who lived beside it. Today, we know it as the beautiful Saint John River. For many centuries before Europeans arrived, Wolastoq, with its tributaries, lands and forests, provided an abundance of food, materials and medicines to the Maliseet people. They were known then as the "Wolastoqiyik," meaning "people of the beautiful river." It provided them with a transportation route for hunting, trade and travel. Today, a park has been developed for recreational and educational purposes.

This scenic location, where the Meduxnekeag River joins the St. John River, has been the site of Woodstock Farm and Craft Market for over 40 years and is open Monday-Saturday 10am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 4pm. Local vendors offer eggs, vegetables, meat, baked goods, local honey, maple syrup and preserves. We also carry knitted and crocheted goods, jewellery, soaps, sewing, wood products, organic dry goods and spices. When in season, you will also find vegetables, herbs, fruit, plants and seeds. On Fridays enjoy Culberson's BBQ on the deck or German sausage and schnitzel.

With over 100 years in operation, this 9-hole golf course is located in the heart of New Brunswick's First Town. The golf course is beginner friendly, while small greens provide a good short game challenge for the more experienced golfers. It offers a licensed clubhouse, snack bar, showers, lockers, pro shop, putting green, golf club and cart rentals, and a golf pro is available for the golfer. There are daily green fees and a dress code is enforced. Woodstock combines time-honoured tradition, natural terrain and modern amenities to create a golfing experience that should not be missed.
