The Aitkens Pewter story began in Fredericton in 1972. Martin Aitken, then 17, had apprenticed with well-known pewterer Dr. Ivan Crowell and set up his own shop in the city of Fredericton. His father, Philip, joined him the following year and the Aitkens 'touchmark', the triple A in a circle, had its debut.Four decades later, that touchmark still represents the quality and craftsmanship that goes into every piece we make.

It was established by Werner and Roswitha Rosswog in 1991, the first fruit distillery in Atlantic Canada. With 300 acres of farmland, including 6 acres of cultivated vineyards, we produce a wide range of grape and fruit wines, fruit liqueurs, European style Eau de Vie, brandy and bitters, all made from New Brunswick produce.

Wilson's Point Historic Site

Located within Enclosure Park in the community of Derby, Wilson’s Point is the final tip of land at the confluence of the Northwest and Southwest Miramichi rivers. It is the site of the first English Settlement along the Miramichi River, with an interpretive centre housed in the replica of the 1790 church, a trading post, a historic 240-year-old graveyard, and walking trails. It is now cared for by the Miramichi Scottish Heritage Association. Visitors are welcome to tour the buildings and enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Recharge in Nature! Experience stunning views while exploring the mossy coastal forest, rocky beaches, and marshes of the Musquash Estuary. Managed by the country's leading environmental charity, Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC), the Musquash Estuary Trails are located 19 km (11 mi.) west of Saint John. These are backcountry hiking trails with no facilities and challenging hikes. Black Beach trail is a 4.2 km (2.5 mi.) loop, aptly named after its rare black sand beach. It features scenic look-offs that offer panoramic vistas of the tidal flats of the estuary.

Anderson Hollow Lighthouse

This original lighthouse (Est. 1889) with its wooden, salt-shaker tower is a historic landmark. Originally located on Anderson Hollow wharf at Waterside, it has been relocated four times. Presently, it's on exhibit at Shipyard Park, on Mary's Point Road, at Harvey Bank. The site is open; however, the tower is closed.Driving directions: Off Route 915, on Mary's Point Road

Every vegetable at the stand is grown on the farm and hand-picked on a daily basis by the farmers themselves, ensuring freshness and best quality. Come and try some of "Blackie's Awesome Corn". Follow the signs at the end of the road as you drive up the long farm driveway. In the fall, choose that special pumpkin from hundreds that come straight from the pumpkin patch. The Blackies also have a flock of 50 registered purebred British-style Suffolk sheep on their farm as well as a yarn shop.

The Bathurst Marina is a full-service marina with 30-amp electrical and water dock system in Youghall Beach, Bathurst. It holds 82 berths for its members and over 10 for visitors from May to October. Surrounded by the charming Baie des Chaleurs, boaters can enjoy miles and miles of open water. If weather is less cooperative, your destination might be the Nepisiguit River or charming downtown Bathurst.
