Woodstock Heritage Walking Tour

The Woodstock Victorian Heritage Walking Tour showcases the history of New Brunswick's first town, from the time of incorporation in 1856. This self-guided tour begins at the L. P. Fisher Public Library and finishes at the Honourable Charles Connell House. There are 40 properties in the tour, including the exterior of Victorian homes and civic buildings on the downtown residential streets. Pick up your free copy of the tour guide at the L. P. Fisher Public Library, Honourable Charles Connell House or Town Hall.

The Loyalist House

NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE Loyalist House was constructed from 1811 to 1817 by David Daniel Merrit, a Loyalist from Rye, New York. The oldest building in the city of Saint John, it survived the Great Fire of 1877 due to servants surrounding it with wet towels. The Merrit family continuously occupied it for nearly 150 years, and in 1959 it was acquired by the New Brunswick Historical Society.

Agricultural Museum of New Brunswick

The museum is dedicated to preserving the heritage of our province's agricultural industry and rural life. Its collection includes hundreds of artifacts dating from the 18th century to the mid-1970s. The museum is open to the public in July and August and hold yearly special events such as the Antique Power Show on May long weekend, a Fibre Social on the 2nd Wednesday in July and Harvest Day the 4th Saturday in September. Private tours between mid-June and mid-October by request.
