Cocagne Lighthouse (Front Range)

This 1907, original wooden salt-shaker tower is easy to find. It sits practically on the roadside of Route 134, adjacent to the Cocagne Bridge. Although the interior of the lighthouse is not open to the public, this is a great place to stop for a picnic, as tables are provided on site. There's also an excellent fish market just across the road, a gift shop next door and a jewellery shop nearby. The lighthouse is not active.

Long Eddy Point Lighthouse ("The Whistle")

This is one of the best places on Grand Manan to view whales, porpoises and seabirds as they feed in the rip tides below the cliffs. Bald eagles are also common in the area. Periwinkles and dulse are picked along the shores below the lighthouse, and visitors can watch lobster, scallop and herring fishing depending on the season.This lighthouse, known locally as "The Whistle," was originally established in 1873. The current square concrete building and tower was constructed in 1971.

Visitors can also take a relaxing walk around the wheelchair accessible Gateway Nature trail that surrounds the Visitor Information Centre.

Pointe-Sapin Lighthouse (Rear Range)

This 1903 salt-shaker style lighthouse has a yellow navigation light. It is located on the Acadian Coastal Drive, 8 km (5 mi.) north of Kouchibouguac National Park of Canada, located on a very small parcel of land adjacent to residential properties. For your enjoyment, there is a beach across the road. There is limited parking. This lighthouse is operational and an active aid to navigation. It has a square white pyramidal shaped wooden tower with a red-square lantern and a red-vertical stripe on the corner facing the alignment.

Grand Falls Museum

White Rock Recreation Area

White Rock Recreational Area, located on the Golf Club Road just before the Hillsborough Golf Club, offers beautiful walking and mountain bike trails. Trails are built on a former gypsum mine, so you can definitely expect to see some white rocks on and around the trails! For mountain bikers, White Rock Recreational Area has both some challenging trails and lots of different terrain. Many of the Green trails are multi-purpose or shared trails so there’s lots to explore, while intermediate and expert trails provide an excellent challenge to more experienced riders.

Maliseet Trail

The Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) Trail is part of the Sentier NB Trail network, as well as part of the historic portage and canoe transportation route linking the Saint John River system with the St. Croix River, used by the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) First Nations people for millennia. The trail joined the Saint John River with the Penobscot River in Maine and was used up until the 1600s. The trail connected through many lakes, rivers and streams and was comprised of over 200 km (125 mi.) of paddling and 20 km (12 mi.) of portaging.

Pointe-du-Chêne Range (Front and Rear Ranges)

These original, wooden salt-shaker towers, which are still active, were built as a pair in 1895, and were designed to work as a team; one as a front range, the other a rear range. Located within the boundaries of Parlee Beach Provincial Park, they are also in a private cottage zone. These landmarks are somewhat famous, having appeared in countless of tourism brochures depicting the beauty of our province! Richiboucto Head Lighthouse

This attractive 1864 lighthouse has an original wooden salt-shaker tower with alterations done in 1988. This active lighthouse is located on an elevated bluff overlooking the Northumberland Strait. There is a working wharf within view of the lighthouse, it's adjacent to cottages and a campground and Cap-Lumière Beach is nearby. This is a good seaside picnic location. Driving directions: Routes 11 and 134, then Route 505 to Cap-Lumière Road.
